When you’re fishing zigs, a lot of the time you will have a variety of different lengths and different hookbait colour combinations tied up ready to go, but they can get in a real mess, and this is where the new Zig Box comes into play.
The Zig Box is a compact storage system which will hold up to 20 pre-tied rigs on four EVA spools (which are supplied), complete with pins to hold them in place, and will fit neatly into a side pocket of your rucksack. Each spool will hold up to five rigs, dependent on how long they are.
The box itself is made from tough, impact-proof plastic and closes securely, and it is compatible with the existing range of Korda ready rigs which come on spools, and it will hold eight of these or a combination of the two spool sizes.
As well is storing zigs, it is also perfect for pre-tied leaders, such as for chod fishing, with the number you can fit in it dependent on the rig components on the leader.
N-Trap Soft, Although the original Hybrid hook links had many followers, the Korda product development team thought that it could be bettered. The resulting product, N-Trap Soft, is the culmination of two and a half years of development and testing. So, why is N-Trap the best coated material on the market? Well, it features a tough, matt coating that is easy to strip yet won't split when tightened down and the rugged Dyneema braid inner is a much better colour match for the coating than other hook links. Following the proven Safezone camou principle, we've released the N-Trap in three colours, Weedy Green, Silt and Gravel Brown. Of course, the colours have been chosen with our longstanding underwater experience to closely match the conditions that you'll find on your waters. N-Trap is hugely versatile, lending itself perfectly to a whole host of presentations. Try it with the KD or Muzza rig, the Multi Rig, or Danny Fairbrass' favourite blow-back rig with a Mixa hook. N-Trap has already found its way into many tackle boxes both here and in Europe, so join the coated-braid revolution and get on it! N-Trap Soft is available in 15lb, 20lb and 30lb versions.
Embryo Calender 2018, Dear fellow anglers There are several reasons why you may decide to purchase this calendar; it may well be for the wonderful photographs from the world of carp fishing that will inspire you to get out there and fish. Or perhaps the monthly insights from ‘part man, part carp’ Simon Scott, or the detailed information on moon phases, including the ‘hot’ days when you really need to be out on the bank in 2018. That said, the most important reason to buy this calendar is that £7 from every purchase will be spent directly on otter fencing, and you will be helping to protect the future of clubs and syndicates that simply cannot afford to do it themselves. As Embryo takes no profit from the provision of this service, the sale of just 1000 calendars could provide the funds to fence a 10 acre lake. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the production of this calendar, all of whom have done so completely free of charge. Even the printers have made a loss to produce it for us, and the tackle shop you are standing in right now has taken zero income from it. Together we can make a real difference to the sport we all love... Thank you for your contribution. Danny Fairbrass Founder of Embryo Angling Habitats
Sinkers, A compact tungsten-rubber weight, designed to slide onto your hook link and pin it to the lake bed. Moistening the hooklength will allow the Sinkers to slide along the hook link much easier. The great thing about a Sinker is that it stays in position, rather than flying off on the cast like putty can. Available in three colours to camouflage into the lake bed and three separate sizes.
IQ2 Fluorocarbon, IQ2 Fluorocarbon is a softer version of our legendary IQ. This softness makes it a versatile hook link material, which gives free movement to even quite light hook baits, like a single grain of pop-up corn, or real maize. Just like the original IQ, IQ2 is nigh-on invisible in water. The way that light passes through the material is quite close to the way that it moves through water, rendering your hook links very difficult for carp to detect.
