Flatliner Pear Inline, The condensed shape of this lead, coupled with the two flat sides makes it the perfect lead for bolt rigs at short to medium range. By its very nature the flat pear lead lends itself to being fished on marginal slopes, the sides or back or gravel bars and in rivers. But, in fact it is one of the most effective shapes at short to medium range because it holds so well on the lake bed and offers fantastic impact hooking potential. We have also seen that this type of lead is by far the most like a stone on the lake bed and during the Underwater filming this lead blended in better than any other. There's a popular misconception that flat leads sit on silt. This does not happen, any lead finds the easiest path through the water so instead of fluttering down to the lake bed, a nose-heavy flat lead like this will plummet down side on and nose first, making it less effective in the silt than say a Swivel Pear lead. Having said that, it is devastating on gravel and is Danny's first choice in these close-range, hard-bottomed situations. Danny told us that, "When Underwater part 3 I tried a Flatliner Pear on the steep gravel slope to see if it really did hook the carp quicker than a swivel lead of the same shape. To my amazement it really did! I had been testing the lead clips for so long I had ignored the inline lead - not any more!" • Please Note: Due to varying stock throughout our stockists, lead colours may vary. Interceptor Surface Float, the ultimate all-round surface controller float, with sizes covering everything from under your feet to long range fishing out in the middle of the lake. The colour of these inline floats has been carefully selected to make them as visible as possible from above the surface, so that the angler can see them as clearly as possible, but at the same time are almost invisible to carp below the surface. They are available in a variety of sizes, the smallest being just 5g which is perfect for flicking baits out close to the bank but where freelining won’t give you the casting accuracy or line control that you need. The 15g and 30g sizes are great all-rounders for any situation where you aren’t having to cast at longer range, and for any situation where the fish are further out, or in windy conditions where it can be difficult keeping the bow out of your line, there are 50g and 80g versions which can be cast to the horizon! One feature that is a bit different is the quick-change system that allows you to quickly switch from one size of float to another, simply by sliding it off of your main line and using the specially designed quick-change swivel. This is perfect if the fish suddenly move out of range, or drift close in and you don’t want to be crashing a heavy controller near them. These floats are incredibly buoyant and the inline stem helps to prevent tangles, with a soft insert used to house the quick-change system.
Maggot Klip, The Maggot Klip makes baiting your rig with maggots easier than ever. Simply open the clip, thread your maggots onto it and close it up again! The Klips are available in a range of different sizes to suit your needs. You can therefore thread on as many maggots as you wish. The clasp fastens tightly onto the front of the Klip making it safe and easy to utilise. They are fantastic for outwitting pressured carp throughout the summer and winter period. We've also been experimenting with seeds of hemp on the Klips and it works extremely well when bites are hard to come by or when you're fishing over a spodded concoction of particles. They come available in X Small, Small, Medium And Large.
