This clever system will allow us all to reach brand-new heights of neatness in rig creation. The Krimps and Krimp tool have been designed to allow easy rig construction with stiff materials (at the moment we only recommend Hybrid Stiff, Mouth Trap and Boom). In particular, we're really excited about the potential to create extremely neat loops for chod rigs and Boom sections. Not only this, but using Krimps will allow you to create chod rigs that are exactly the same length each and every time. There are two sizes of Krimp available, which have been designed to suit different materials. The smaller one will suit stiff bristle materials like Mouth Trap and stiff coated braids, like our Hybrid Stiff, and the larger one is perfect for really thick materials (like 30lb plus mono or the 35lb Boom). The product development team went to extreme lengths to make sure that the Krimps and Krimp tools were exactly right, having to overcome various problems along the way. The complexity of getting the tool and Krimps just right has meant that this has been a long development, but we're sure that it's been well worth the wait.
X-Press Method Mould, In order to make the best, most consistent method balls that fly further and truer, the feeder has to be loaded perfectly. The method mould offers the best way of achieving this. That's why the Guru team wasted no time in releasing the X-Press Method Mould. These clever devices make moulding pellets or groundbait around our X-Safe or Inline feeders child's play. The clever, non-stick inner, coupled with the flexible construction, will ensure that perfectly formed feeders full of bait drop out into the palm each and every time. Once you've used the X-Press mould, you simply won't want to use another version.
Shockleader Sleeves, Like all our products, the Shockleader Sleeve puts fish safety as top priority. We designed this sleeve to replace the hard plastic lead insert and make your inline rig as anti-tangle and fish friendly as possible when using shockleaders. If the line breaks, the lead pulls free and slides down the line, easily passing over the leader knot. Once the lead is off fish find it easier to get rid of the hook.
Pear Swivel, The classic pear lead will cast a very very long way, almost as far as the Distance Casting and it is less affected by cross winds because the shape is very condensed. This means that the Pear lead is suited to most carp fishing situations when fishing anything up to the very limit of your casting ability. The dumpy shape can be used to your advantage in silt. Try using a very light pear lead say 1oz or 2oz and actually let the lead plug into the silt, this will dramatically increase the resistance to a carp moving away with the rig, so what feels like a light lead in your hand is transformed into a heavy lead in the fishing situation. Because the lead has a large rounded end it makes 'feeling' the lead hit the bottom easier than more slender or pointed shapes. If you are new to this technique this lead will make the job easier. The pear lead is also ideal in a solid PVA bag because it can be pushed down into one of the corners. This makes the bag nose heavy and so more accurate.
TackleSafe, The TackleSafe is the latest addition to our terminal tackle and rig storage range and is designed to sit alongside the existing RigSafe and ChodSafe products. It is a compact end-tackle storage system within a hard clamshell-style case, secured magnetically, and with a soft-touch, non-slip outer coating, and featuring a ruler to assist with your rig tying. One side of it features an open compartment which can be used to story larger items such as spools of hook link material, Pulla Rig Toolz and scissors. The same half of the TackleSafe also has eight compartments which are accessed via flip top lids to ensure that the items contained within can’t accidentally spill out – it is perfect for things such as Heli-Safe Beads, Hybrid Lead Clips, and Fake Foods, for instance. The other side of the TackleSafe has two larger compartments with lids, which can be used to store packets of hooks, baiting needles. It also has a number of smaller, lidded, shallower compartments that can be used for storing swivels, rig rings shrink tubing, Kickers, and any other smaller items of terminal tackle.
