The Guru Rig Case is set to make other rig cases redundant! Brand manager Adam Rooney and head consultant Steve Ringer both used existing rig cases, but felt that they weren't quite up to the job, so the Guru design team set about designing one from scratch! The result is a smart-looking case that puts the opposition in the shade in terms of functionality and looks! Firstly, the team attacked the problem of boosting the capacity of the case, without creating something that was too big and cumbersome. They simply increased the length of the retention pegs, and made the case double-sided, which allows the Guru Rig Case to hold up to 150 rigs! It's been designed for the rigs that Adam and Steve used most, including method feeder, pellet feeder and pole rigs. The case features a unique magnetic fastening system, which ensures that your carefully tied rigs are protected when in transit. In fact, the case has been designed to be water resistant too, so it'll keep the British weather at bay too, while you're on the bank. The Rig Case is finished in Guru colours: black on the outside and orange on the inside and the whole thing is coated with a soft-touch overmould for a beautifully tactile result. There are two types available, Long and Short, to cater for all your rig needs.
PVA Leaders, These readymade leadcore leaders have been designed for speedy solid-bag fishing – allowing you to take advantage of what might be short feeding windows! Thanks to a spliced loop, they can be simply looped on and off your main line, which means that you can tie several bags in preparation for hauling and loop a new one on in an instant! The leaders are tied with 1ft lengths of our proven Kable leadcore and feature a size-eight ring swivel, which makes them ideal for use with inline leads. We recommend tying a figure-of-eight loop in the end of your main line to allow for rapid changing of bag setups. Three per pack.
Korda Scales, These brand-new scales are far from your average weighing tools. In fact, we reckon that they're the coolest scales on the market, by quite a margin! Rather than the standard black, high-impact case, the limited-edition Korda scales have a carpy green shell. We've also added a high-vis green tip to the pointer needle for 2011, which makes for accurate weighing in low-light conditions. The Korda scales are available in 60lb (with 2oz divisions) and 120lb (4oz divisions). All of our scales are rugged, reliable and designed to last.
Krank Rig, The revolutionary Krank hook pattern - launched to critical acclaim from both anglers and the angling media last year - is now available in a ready-tied format, produced to Tom Dove's exacting specifications. Available in barbed and barbless versions, in sizes 10 to 2, the new Krank Rigs utilise the Kamo coated hook link material with a small section stripped back to allow the ultra-wide-gape Krank pattern to take hold consistently. They are tied with a size-eight swivel to allow attachment to lead clips and inline leads. The rigs cover every carp angling situation with the range of hook sizes - from day ticket carping for double-figure fish to Euro giants - and they're perfect for use in conjunction with wafter or balanced hook baits, one of Tom Dove's favourite presentations. Each pack comes with a free set of Extenda bait stops, allowing a variety of different sized baits to be used on the same length hair, from a single grain of Fake Food plastic corn on the smaller sizes up to double 20mm offerings on the size 2. The sizes 10, 8 and 6 are tied on 15lb Kamo, size 4 on 20lb and size 2 on 30lb.
Bait-Up Method Feeder, The classic original Korda Method feeder has now been updated with some modern twists in the form of the Bait Up Feeder range. It retains many of the features that made the original so good, including the weighted fin that ensures that it always lands the right way up and the hookbait will always fall away from the feeder, increasing your chances of a quick bite. It is a one-piece design, which makes it very strong and durable, and incorporates a bait disc at the front that helps to ensure that your bait stays in place until the feeder reaches the lake or river bed. The soft insert will fit any size 8 Korda swivel - including the Quick Change ones which are popular with this style of fishing – and creates a safe bolt rig, with a tail rubber neatly finishing off the back end of the feeder. As long as bait is moulded evenly around the feeder, it is incredibly stable in flight and will cast a long way. Like the original this is going to become a favourite with anyone who likes to fish the Method, which is still one of the most popular and effective set-ups, especially on bagging-up waters. It will also be popular with specimen anglers targeting species such as tench, barbel and bream. There is a choice of 35g or 50g versions.
