This range of ready-tied zigs allows you to use rigs that are every bit as good as the ones used by the UK's top anglers. They've been tied to exacting standards with proven Korda terminal tackle. The Mixa hook pattern has been chosen in size-10 because it offers huge gape and hypodermic sharpness and they're tied to a special 8lb zig hook link mono that has been tinted for camouflage. The range comprises 6ft, 8ft, 10ft and 12ft pre-tied zigs, which are supplied on handy EVA spools. Each spool comes complete with three ready-tied zigs, which can be cut to size, depending on how deep you want to fish! When your session is over, you can simply wind the zigs back onto the spools for storage. Each spool holds three different coloured hook baits too, which come free of charge! Barbed and barbless versions are available.
Shockleader Sleeves, Like all our products, the Shockleader Sleeve puts fish safety as top priority. We designed this sleeve to replace the hard plastic lead insert and make your inline rig as anti-tangle and fish friendly as possible when using shockleaders. If the line breaks, the lead pulls free and slides down the line, easily passing over the leader knot. Once the lead is off fish find it easier to get rid of the hook.
Conti & QM1 Disgorgers, Two disgorgers that have been designed to help you unhook fish more easily and safely, which should be every angler's concern. The QM1 is the shorter disgorger, and it has been designed for all-round work, with hook patterns like the effective QM1 in mind. The Conti is a longer disgorger, that has been designed for use when feeder fishing with longer hook links, where deeper hook holds might be encountered, especially with bream. Both patterns feature a specially designed head is rounded to minimise damage and allows you to pop the hook out easily and safely. Both are made from robust plastic, with a super-strong cross-shaped cross section, and will last well, and have an easy-grip rubberised handle which can be held securely, even in the wet!
Eazi-Melt PVA String, Spread-Em PVA Tape. This woven tape has a coarse texture to its flat cross section. This makes it perfect for stringers because the texture will actually hold the baits apart even with the force of the cast. It is not necessary to tie this onto the hook either, because of the woven element, all you have to do is hook the point of the hook through it, it will not tear on the cast and this ensures no residue is left around the hook once the tape has melted. This material is very strong when dry, making it ideal for tying up the top of solid PVA bags. Eazi-Melt PVA String We recommend you double it up by pulling your baits onto a loop of string and then hand the string over the hook before pulling the top bait back up against the hook to tighten the loop so the loop cannot slip back off the hook in flight. Do not use this product for tying the hair up tight to the hook, if it is pulled too tight the water cannot attack the PVA strands in the middle of the braid and the knot may remain, we recommend going over to the Kwik-Melt solid tape for this and any application where you need to tie a very tight over hand knot. You will find this string super strong when dry making it ideal for tying up the top of PVA bags where a small amount residue will do no harm to your presentation. Kwik Melt Tape Kwik Melt tape has become the favourite PVA tape for many of our most-admired big-carp anglers. It's great for stringers, as well as tying off PVA bags and securing hairs on the cast. As the name suggests, Kwik Melt dissolves reliably even in cold conditions. It is supplied as conventional 10mm tape, as well as 5mm twin-tape.
Textured Leads, Let's be clear, from the very start - our current camouflaged coating is, we believe, the best on the market by some distance. However, let it not be said that we don't listen to you guys, because our new textured coating has been developed due to massive demand for our famous leads with a textured coating. It's not been easy though, in fact, the development has taken a little while to perfect. Our lead production manager, Sean Woody' Stockdale, had this to say about the leads, This isn't a new concept, far from it in fact. However, we couldn't ignore the demand. We carefully considered the combinations of coating granules to produce the subtlest, matt-finish camouflage. It wouldn't be right to herald the release of the new range without getting a word from the gaffer. Dan told us, Ever since I started, I've paid great attention to camouflage aspect of my rig. This has permeated every aspect of Korda's product range. This addition to our lead range satisfies the almost constant demand for textured leads in colours that actually match what you're fishing over. I stress this point because 90 per cent of the existing textured leads do not match what they will be lying on, which actually makes them stand out more. The range has been kept concise to keep the majority of anglers happy and we will consider expanding it as demand dictates. Personally, I would use either the smooth or textured leads because our underwater filming proves that both have superb camouflage properties. So, what are the advantages of a textured lead? Well, the coating is matt, so it simply won't reflect light in the same way as a conventionally coated lead. The textured finish will pick up sediment from the lake bed, adding to the overall subtle effect. In fact, these leads get better and better with use! The characteristics that allow the leads to take on sediment will also allow the leads to absorb flavours, glugs or dips. Leaving a few leads to soak in Goo is sure to add an extra dimension of attraction.
