Boom is a game-changing fluorocarbon! It’s our first fluorocarbon that can be crimped, which opens up a world of uses for rig tying. Its prime function is for creating stiff boom sections to help kick the hook bait away from the lead system, something Boom does each and every cast. You can use it to make combi-rigs, or out-and-out stiff rigs, for pop-ups and bottom baits alike. Your imagination is the only limit to its rig applications.
Being a fluorocarbon, Boom blends with all lake bed types and, thanks to its subtle, green tint, it’s always inconspicuous to carp feeding around it. Boom is available in 0.55mm and 0.65mm, on 15m spools.
Lead Clip Action Pack, A pack that has all the components to help you construct safe lead clip systems. If you were attached to a really big carp, would you sacrifice the lead to guarantee you landed the carp? We would, and it's a small price to pay. The basic rule of the lead clip system is the lead must eject before the swivel pulls out. If the swivel comes out first the lead will never eject. Instead, the line will pull back and forth through the system like a running rig leaving the lead snagged and the fish too! In our opinion, the lead clip system is the best way to ensure a fish is not left with a lead because the line does not have to pull through anything for the lead to discharge. Use the system correctly and the lead will eject when you want it to. One thing that's for certain is that when the lead comes off the carp rises to the surface, allowing you to lead it over any underwater obstacles rather than having to drag it through them. This is the most versatile system when it comes to presenting a bait on any lake bed and as such should be chosen as your number one system. Simply follow the steps to make it safe and effective.
Pole Pots, We’ve designed a range of pole pots, from scratch, to address the shortcomings of the ones we had to use previously! Our range includes small, medium and large pots. The small ones have special sprinkle lids for quick-and-easy loading. One of the small pots has specially configured holes in it, to allow easy baiting with pellets and other soft baits, and one without holes for use with maggots. The medium and large pots come with two lid choices in a pack, one with a narrow lip for use with maggots and meat, and one with a wider lip, which is perfect for drip-feeding pellets. The pots are made from super-light, two-tone plastic, which makes for easy shipping and won’t spook fish! Finally, the clever, X-Soft fitting will accept a range of top kits, of different diameters, without damaging the pole.
Silicone Sleeves, In 2003 we released the increasingly popular Run Rig kits, after this we received a massive demand for the silicone sleeves to be sold separately. We found that by using a small piece to cover the swivel on the lead it kept everything neat and tidy but more importantly offered much better camouflage. They are also the perfect size to fit over our Kwik-links and Stik-Klip. We started off manufacturing them in weedy green but have now extended the range by adding a silty brown version. No other company produces such a wide range of colours because no other company has seen how much difference it can make. We shall continue to strive for better ways of fooling the most wary of carp. To fit, thread piece of line through eye of swivel or Kwik-link and then through sleeve, wet metal item with saliva and pull on sleeve. Sleeves may need to be cut down for some applications.
