Boom is a game-changing fluorocarbon! It’s our first fluorocarbon that can be crimped, which opens up a world of uses for rig tying. Its prime function is for creating stiff boom sections to help kick the hook bait away from the lead system, something Boom does each and every cast. You can use it to make combi-rigs, or out-and-out stiff rigs, for pop-ups and bottom baits alike. Your imagination is the only limit to its rig applications.
Being a fluorocarbon, Boom blends with all lake bed types and, thanks to its subtle, green tint, it’s always inconspicuous to carp feeding around it. Boom is available in 0.55mm and 0.65mm, on 15m spools.
15" QM1 Bayonet Rig, The all-conquering QM1 hooks are now available on ready-tied rigs. These 15-inch versions are supplied on EVA spools, so they can be dropped straight into the Guru Rig Box. Adam Rooney explained how and why they were developed, "We get inundated with calls and messages asking if we would ever do our famous QM1 hook ready-tied. So here they are, tied to the same high standard as our existing range. I'm confident to say I would be happy to use them myself in all match conditions. The EVA spools, which have been colour-coded and printed so you can simply store them directly in your Guru Rig Box for maximum protection. The QM1 design and packaging take ready rigs to a whole new level!"
Big Grippa, These leads are perfect for anywhere that you need more grip, like rivers, on the sides of bars, marginal slopes or boating out at extreme range. We have recorded that you can get the same grip with a 1oz Grippa as you can with a 2oz Swivel Pear lead. So, with that in mind, you can get away with a smaller lead to do the same job, which is an advantage when fishing for barbel and chub on the rivers. Also, a lighter lead makes a smaller splash so we like using them for casting to gently sloping island margins where a round lead can roll down. The Grippas have become massively popular on the continent where carping in wide fast flowing rivers is the norm and where you have to boat out baits massive distances.
X-Safe Method Feeder, Traditionally, there was no particular science to hook bait placement within the method ball and your bait could even become trapped inside or under the feeder frame. Guru has, quite literally, turned this upside down. Commercial master Steve Ringer engineered a groundbreaking hook bait platform, which sits on the opposite side of the feeder to the main weight loading, ensuring that the hook bait sits on top of the feeder cast after cast. The platform itself is positioned on X-shaped, vented arms that are configured to minimize tangles and allow maximum grip, ensuring that your groundbait can be loaded easily onto the feeder. One cast with a Guru Method Feeder and you'll understand why it's shaped like it is. The team made long, stable casting a real priority and the weight-forward design really delivers this. These feeders cut across testing crosswinds, like a dart, allowing you to consistently hit the spot, effortlessly building your swim. The colour of the frame is anything but an afterthought. Steve drew upon what he knows of the underwater environment to choose a colour that melts inconspicuously into most lake bed types. The unique X-Safe elastic system acts as a buffer during the fight, helping to reduce hook pulls at the net. Not only that, but thanks to the innovative design, it's 100 per cent safe for the fish. Should you lose a fish and leave it attached to the feeder, the elastic will simply pull free, allowing the fish to ditch the feeder. The Method feeders are available in four sizes and all sizes of feeder are completely interchangeable and spare elastics and tubes are available separately.
Aventus 10ft Feeder, The shortest rod in the Aventus range, and an incredibly popular length for all kinds of fishing. Made to Tackle Guru specifications by Daiwa in the renowned UK facilities using the highest quality Japanese carbon and most up-to-date rod technology. Two piece, folding down in half for use in a Fusion Rod Holdall. Supplied with three glass quiver tips - 1oz, 1.5oz and 2oz. The rod has a casting weight of 70g. Like the whole of the Aventus range, this rod has complete all-round capabilities. At home fishing for carp on commercials in the summer months when big fish and big weights are on the cards, while equally comfortable for catching skimmers and f1s in the winter or silvers on natural venues.A crisp, progressive action means the rod has lots of power when needed, while withholding a fish playing action that prevents hook pulls. The rod features oversized top-spec Fuji Alconite K-Guides, bullet proof, super durable, and designed to prevent frap-ups and tangles. All guides are strategically positioned to give the rod the perfect compression, casting and playing action. An A-Grade Cork handle is ultra comfortable and hardwearing, featuring the Armlock design to give you ultimate fish-playing control. Finished off with a Fuji DPS real seat. The butt of the rod is completed with a moulded bespoke Guru EVA hand grip, with finger moulds to help hand positioning on the cast, enabling maximum compression, distance and accuracy to be achieved with ease!A key feature is the length of the handles - longer than normal to again help casing distance and accuracy. More leverage and power can be gained from the longer handle, helping anglers be more accurate and cast further.A unique and key asset to the Aventus project is Zero 90 carbon technology. This process involves double layering carbon fibres in different ways from zero to 90 degrees. When cured, this gives rods combined longitudinal strength, recovery and crispness. The tubular shape of any fishing rod is deformed when compressed. Zero 90 technology enables us to control this deformation, preventing energy and accuracy loss, retaining the cylindrical structure to give more casting power and precision.
