SUBline is fast becoming a modern classic. It's a true big-fish hunter's line, with all the performance and reliability that you could ask for in a monofilament main line. It's incredibly tough and abrasion resistant, yet it casts extremely well, thanks to its suppleness. As you'd expect, it also sinks like a brick, making it the go-to line for many of the carp scene's biggest names.
Xtra Strong Carp Spade, The X-Strong Spade pattern has been designed for hit-and-hold margin fishing on the pole. The extra wide gape and long, durable point result in great hook holds, allowing you to bully large carp, tench or barbel from snags or reeds. The design of the hook makes it perfect for use with large baits like meat. The spade makes it perfect for use with most conventional pole rigs and ensures that the line exits the hook shank perfectly in line for excellent hooking potential. There are six sizes in the range, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20, which will cover you for most heavy-duty work on a range of venues.
Big Eye Swivel, You asked us for these, so we added them to the range. These swivels have one very large round eye and one normal size one and, as with all our swivels, they come from the best Japanese manufacturers and have our trademark 'anti glint' dull-grey finish. They have three major uses. Firstly, they make very smooth running rigs when used as a replacement to the swivels found on the top of our leads. They were originally designed as part of the running rig kits. But, after too many enquiries to mention, we had to add them to the range. The second obvious use is for helicopter rigs. The large eye will rotate better if a large bead is used, whereas a smaller swivel would bump around the larger beads circumference. In other words, the large eye will slide effortlessly around it. They can also be used at the top of a link for the marker float - the large eye will allow the line to pull through that bit easier than a standard swivel. No doubt you will find other uses we haven't even thought of yet.
Smart Fish Finder, What’s in there for you? It’s what we wonder every time we go angling. Deeper’s range of Smart Sonar’s are your way to explore what lies beneath and hook your trophy catch. They float on the surface, scanning and transmitting detailed bottom and water column data direct to your smartphone or tablet. Get instant readings on depth, bottom structure, vegetation, temperature and fish location to maximise your catch rate. Now shore fishers can access a range of data previously only available from expensive boat consoles.
SUBbraid, This is a super-fast-sinking main line braid that's available in a subtle SUB-green colouring and two breaking strains. It attracted plenty of acclaim during the exhaustive testing period, with Elliott Gray in particular becoming a huge advocate. Aside from its unrivalled sinking properties, SUBbraid has no stretch, which means that feeling for the drop becomes even more advantageous. The braid transmits tiny lake-bed details back to the rod on the drop, and when pulled back, allowing you to clip up to a spot without getting the marker rod out of the bag! If you find yourself on fish in an unfamiliar swim, then being able to feel for that critical drop with absolute assurance is such an edge! SUBbraid should be used with a leader of some description, to protect the flanks of our precious quarry. This can be the fluorocarbon that Elliott and James Turner prefer, which also gives a little buffer during the fight, or a length of leadcore or tubing sufficient to prevent the braid from coming into contact with the carp's flanks. SUBbraid is available in 15lb and 20lb, on spools holding 1200m and 450m.
