The Heli-Lead has been designed specially for use with the Heli-Safe bead. By fitting a ring to the lead loop, rather than a swivel, the attachment is kept super neat, yet flexible enough to ensure that the lead is only discharged when you want it to be. The leads are finished with a robust camouflaged paint that blends in superbly well over a range of lake beds and are available in sizes from 1.5oz up to 4oz.
COG Leads, There are two COG lead patterns currently available, the Flat Distance and Flat Pear. The Flat Pear is more conventional and its condensed shape makes for the best hooking potential it's unsurpassed for margin or boat work. The Flat Distance lead was designed by Danny Fairbrass for the COG system. It takes its shape from the popular Distance Casting lead, but has a slightly flattened profile, giving better hooking capabilities and ensuring that the COG system is properly presented.
2-Rod Front Buzz Bar, These buzz bars have been machined from stainless steel to the highest standards possible by JAG Products. There are four sizes in the range, which allow you to mix and match to create the splay that you want between the rod tips. Go from no splay at all by choosing matching buzz bars for back and front, to massive splay by choosing the narrowest at the back and the widest at the front, and everything in between!
Square Pear Swivel, Without any doubt, when fishing on a hard gravel bottom inline leads hook the carp quicker than swivel type leads. The reason for this is that the fish always pick up the lead from the heavy end first, because the hook link is always attached to the heavy end of the lead. In the case of Korda inlines the swivel is actually semi-fixed inside the lead, exaggerating the 'instant bolt' effect. What Dan set about doing after watching the fish hooking themselves on Part 4, was to design the most condensed shape of lead possible. So, a fish would have to move the minimum distance before it felt the full weight of the lead. Now, the most condensed shape of all is a ball, but a ball could possibly roll around before the full weight is felt and it isn't tapered towards the back of the lead enough to stop the hook link tangling around it. So, Dan chose to put four flat sides onto the ball and gently taper the back to avoid tangles. An appropriate name that summed up the lead, was of course the Square Pear. As an inline there is no lead out there that the fish will feel the full weight of more instantly. Even as a swivel lead, the fish will still feel more of the weight sooner because it's so short and one end of the lead is almost the same as the other. Only the movement of the swivel will make a difference. So in short, you have the most condensed inline lead and swivel lead there can be, with flat sides that works in a fishing situation.
Drag-Line, Drag-Line is a robust, performance mono that's been designed to withstand the rough and tumble of commercial-water carping. The repeated casting, playing and landing, especially with method feeders and pellet wagglers, that commercial-water success entails places great strain on a reel line, which is why we had to be completely happy with this one before Guru launched its first mono. The key criteria that the team identified meant that they'd only settle for a line that offered the optimum combination of abrasion resistance and diameter. The resulting line is super-supple as well as tough. This means that it positively purrs off the spool when repeatedly chucking method feeders.
