Let's be clear, from the very start - our current camouflaged coating is, we believe, the best on the market by some distance. However, let it not be said that we don't listen to you guys, because our new textured coating has been developed due to massive demand for our famous leads with a textured coating. It's not been easy though, in fact, the development has taken a little while to perfect. Our lead production manager, Sean Woody' Stockdale, had this to say about the leads, This isn't a new concept, far from it in fact. However, we couldn't ignore the demand. We carefully considered the combinations of coating granules to produce the subtlest, matt-finish camouflage. It wouldn't be right to herald the release of the new range without getting a word from the gaffer. Dan told us, Ever since I started, I've paid great attention to camouflage aspect of my rig. This has permeated every aspect of Korda's product range. This addition to our lead range satisfies the almost constant demand for textured leads in colours that actually match what you're fishing over. I stress this point because 90 per cent of the existing textured leads do not match what they will be lying on, which actually makes them stand out more. The range has been kept concise to keep the majority of anglers happy and we will consider expanding it as demand dictates. Personally, I would use either the smooth or textured leads because our underwater filming proves that both have superb camouflage properties. So, what are the advantages of a textured lead? Well, the coating is matt, so it simply won't reflect light in the same way as a conventionally coated lead. The textured finish will pick up sediment from the lake bed, adding to the overall subtle effect. In fact, these leads get better and better with use! The characteristics that allow the leads to take on sediment will also allow the leads to absorb flavours, glugs or dips. Leaving a few leads to soak in Goo is sure to add an extra dimension of attraction.
Pellet Pliers, Often in fishing it is the devices that help you to more effectively carry out fairly simple tasks which will make the biggest difference to your catch rate, and that is definitely the case with the new Pellet Pliers, which have only just been released.Banded pellet is a great way of fishing hard pellets, but they can be very tricky to position the band around correctly, even at the best of times, let alone when you have cold or wet fingers. The Pellet Pliers are a simple device that make the task of banding a pellet very quick and easy, but there has still been a lot of thought which has gone into them to get the product just right and ensure that it works perfectly. They basically work on a reverse-pliers design, whereby squeezing the handles together opens the jaws. A pellet band is simply located in the groove on the nose of the pliers, which can then be stretched open with a simple squeeze of one hand, and your chosen size of pellet is positioned inside the band.To finish off the process, pressure on the pliers is slowly released and the banded pellet is removed from the jaws – the tapered design of which makes this task easy to perform. The spring-loaded design makes all of this very easy, without being so strong that there is any danger of damaging the pellet during the process, plus it is compatible with all different sizes of pellet.Pellet Pliers are finished in Guru orange colour, making them highly visible, so you’re unlikely to mislay them whilst you are fishing!
15" Feeder Rigs Bayonet, The Feeder Hair Rig is a more traditional, longer hook link than the Method Hair Rig. As with the Method Hair Rig the hooks used are the MWG, which are true all-rounders. These longer hook links are perfect for straight bomb, feeder or waggler work as well as most specialist disciplines. The lads spent time getting the hair length exactly balanced with hook size for optimum hooking. The Bayonet fitting allows speedy attachment of mini boilies. Hook baits can literally be changed in seconds!
F1 Pellet Hooks, The F1 Pellet hook has been designed for targeting the F1 carp, a fish found in many commercial fisheries. They’re strong, yet relatively fine in the wire, which makes them able to land even quite large carp on the pole. They feature a beaked point for extra-secure hook holds and an oversized spade, which allows them to be used with thicker line, for robust bagging situations. They have been finished with a special anti-glare PTFE finish that does not impede the sharpness of the hook. The F1 Pellet family includes sizes 14, 16, 18, 20 and 22.
