Let's be clear, from the very start - our current camouflaged coating is, we believe, the best on the market by some distance. However, let it not be said that we don't listen to you guys, because our new textured coating has been developed due to massive demand for our famous leads with a textured coating. It's not been easy though, in fact, the development has taken a little while to perfect. Our lead production manager, Sean Woody' Stockdale, had this to say about the leads, This isn't a new concept, far from it in fact. However, we couldn't ignore the demand. We carefully considered the combinations of coating granules to produce the subtlest, matt-finish camouflage. It wouldn't be right to herald the release of the new range without getting a word from the gaffer. Dan told us, Ever since I started, I've paid great attention to camouflage aspect of my rig. This has permeated every aspect of Korda's product range. This addition to our lead range satisfies the almost constant demand for textured leads in colours that actually match what you're fishing over. I stress this point because 90 per cent of the existing textured leads do not match what they will be lying on, which actually makes them stand out more. The range has been kept concise to keep the majority of anglers happy and we will consider expanding it as demand dictates. Personally, I would use either the smooth or textured leads because our underwater filming proves that both have superb camouflage properties. So, what are the advantages of a textured lead? Well, the coating is matt, so it simply won't reflect light in the same way as a conventionally coated lead. The textured finish will pick up sediment from the lake bed, adding to the overall subtle effect. In fact, these leads get better and better with use! The characteristics that allow the leads to take on sediment will also allow the leads to absorb flavours, glugs or dips. Leaving a few leads to soak in Goo is sure to add an extra dimension of attraction.
Front Uprights, These adjustable upright sections are available in three sizes (3.5in, 5.5in and 8in) so that your rods can be set up exactly how you want them. They have been precision engineered by stainless wizards JAG Products, to guarantee that they're the best quality available. Ensure that your rod tips are level by adjusting the knurled collar on the top of the upright.
Run Rig Rubber, Our Run Rig Rubbers have been specially designed for use with running rigs incorporating theDark Matter Leaders, Leadcore, Kamo Rig Tube or Dark Matter Rig Tube. As you'd expect from Korda, these are like no other running rig beads available. It was while fishing at long distance on a running-rig-only water that Danny came up with this new idea. A shoulder has been angled on the rubber at 30 degrees, this means the Big Eye Swivel holding the lead sits at a much better angle than any standard running rig setup, this will not only minimise the chance of any tangles but will also help get those extra few yards when fishing at long range. The soft rubber compound is designed to hold the swivel and rig tube securely. As with the rest of the Safe Zone range, they are available in the four key colours because, by matching your components to suit the lake bed you are fishing you'll improve your results.
2-Rod Front Buzz Bar, These buzz bars have been machined from stainless steel to the highest standards possible by JAG Products. There are four sizes in the range, which allow you to mix and match to create the splay that you want between the rod tips. Go from no splay at all by choosing matching buzz bars for back and front, to massive splay by choosing the narrowest at the back and the widest at the front, and everything in between!
Rig Box, This compact rig-storage solution is just the thing for the angler who likes to be prepared. We know that you guys like to prepare methodically for action, and this system allows you to do just that. It'll help you to store match, general coarse and even carp rigs safely, until you need them. The tough, impact-proof storage box houses 10 EVA spools and comes with 20 pins to secure the rigs to the spools. It'll comfortably take 200 rigs and can be used for feeder, bomb, pellet waggler, pole and zig rigs. Spare EVA spools, with 10 spare pins included, are set to be made available. We expect this super little product to crossover nicely between pleasure, match and carp fishing.
