A pack that has all the components to help you construct safe lead clip systems. If you were attached to a really big carp, would you sacrifice the lead to guarantee you landed the carp? We would, and it's a small price to pay. The basic rule of the lead clip system is the lead must eject before the swivel pulls out. If the swivel comes out first the lead will never eject. Instead, the line will pull back and forth through the system like a running rig leaving the lead snagged and the fish too! In our opinion, the lead clip system is the best way to ensure a fish is not left with a lead because the line does not have to pull through anything for the lead to discharge. Use the system correctly and the lead will eject when you want it to. One thing that's for certain is that when the lead comes off the carp rises to the surface, allowing you to lead it over any underwater obstacles rather than having to drag it through them. This is the most versatile system when it comes to presenting a bait on any lake bed and as such should be chosen as your number one system. Simply follow the steps to make it safe and effective.
Naked Chod System, The Naked Chod Safety System is, without doubt, the biggest advance in rotary-rig safety EVER. The specially designed Chod Sleeves, Barrel Beads and No-Trace beads combine to offer a solution to the problems that consistent hook link ejection has dogged helicopter rig users for years. The single most important aspect of a helicopter setup is the facility that allows the hook link to travel up and off the line should a carp pick up a cracked-off rig or become cut off during a fight. Previously, in order for the hook link to pass over the severed end of the line, allowing the carp to ditch the lead and trailing line, a relatively small-bored helicopter bead had to pass over first. This was problematic if any weed or debris had collected on the line or beads. The design of the Chod Sleeve and No-Trace Bead eliminates this problem. The hard plastic No-Trace Bead has a huge bore and, here's the clever bit, a slot in the side that allows it to drop off the line entirely once it has popped off the coned Chod Sleeve. This allows the size-11 Ring Swivel to proceed up and over the end of the line with ease. The Naked Chod Safety System Barrel Beads and Chod Sleeves are tungsten-impregnated to help make sure that the rig is presented where you want it, on the deck. Another industry first for Korda! We recommend that you use the system with strong, fast-sinking main line, such as SUBline or Kontour.
Kaizen Hook, These are designed to be super strong while having a relatively thin diameter wire. The oversized spade makes tying the Kaizen very easy, and means you can use strong line without worry of knots slipping over the spade. Our PTFE coating helps the hooks remain super sharp and durable, and gives it a discrete finish. An extra-wide gape ensures a firm hook hold and allows you to cleanly present a variety of baits on the hook while leaving plenty of point showing for clean and effective hooking capability on the strike. An incredibly strong all-round hook, ideal for commercial work with a wide range of baits. The shape and strength means these hooks are especially suited to using baits like corn and meat when fishing the short pole for carp and F1s.
Kaptor Kurv Shank, These hooks represent the biggest breakthrough in hook manufacture...ever. We took our critically acclaimed Kurv Shank pattern and coated them with the industrys first coloured PTFE finish to make them blend in even better. The ultra-sharp Kaptor point has been left uncoated, because the development team had noticed that uncoated points were sharper. To preserve the eye-wateringly sharp point, each hook is capped with a rubber blob. This process ensures that the sharpest point in the carp world stays just that. Each hook is then clipped into a bespoke packet so that it stays pristine until you need it. The Kaptor Kurv Shank is available in Weed Green and Gravelly Brown camouflage. The colours have been carefully selected to closely match the most common lake bed conditions. The Korda team is in an excellent position to do this because of our extensive underwater experience. What this all means is that carp will find your rig much more.
Krimp Tool, This clever system will allow us all to reach brand-new heights of neatness in rig creation. The Krimps and Krimp tool have been designed to allow easy rig construction with stiff materials (at the moment we only recommend Hybrid Stiff, Mouth Trap and BOOM. In particular, we're really excited about the potential to create extremely neat loops for chod & Spinner rigs. Not only this, but using Krimps will allow you to create chod rigs that are exactly the same length each and every time. There are two sizes of Krimp available, which have been designed to suit different materials. The smaller one will suit stiff bristle materials like Mouth Trap and stiff coated braids, like our Hybrid Stiff, and the larger one is perfect for really thick materials (like 30lb plus mono or 35lb BOOM). The product development team went to extreme lengths to make sure that the Krimps and Krimp tools were exactly right, having to overcome various problems along the way. The complexity of getting the tool and Krimps just right has meant that this has been a long development, but we're sure that it's been well worth the wait.
