Korda Flying Backleads take line concelament to a new level! These little weights can be attached and detached from the line without needing to cut your rig off. They feature a recessed plastic insert that ensures that they fly back up your main line on the cast, helping to pin it to the bottom way back from your rig. We produce three different sizes and the lightest will fly much further up the line than the heaviest ones, allowing you to control your line lay.
Bait Drill, The new Guru bait drill has been designed to make drilling hard baits, like pellets and tough boilies, child's play. Rather than twisting the handle of the drill, the team designed a drill that allows the bait itself to be twisted onto the bit, keeping it under total control. The flattened handle allows great grip to be achieved, even with wet, oily fingers. The super-fine 1mm needle will easily penetrate the hardest of pellets, without splitting them a worthy addition to the Guru stable.
Embryo Calender 2018, "I am extremely proud to present to you the Embryo Angling Habitats 2018 calendar. You, the angling community purchased 2700 of the 3000 calendars we printed for 2017. Because no one took a profit from the sale including the tackle shop you bought this one from it created £18,900 of revenue that will be spent on two fences for lakes that simply could not afford it from their own reserves. Dorchester Lake (Abingdon and Oxford Anglers Alliance) has sadly lost several of its most sought after specimens to Otter predation prior to our offer for fencing, an extended ‘planning’ issue delayed the fences installation but it is now set to be completed by spring 2018, so it's remaining jewels will be safe forever. Embryo are also donating five ‘special’ Priory Fisheries mid doubles to this venue to help rebuild its stock without changing its unique atmosphere. The second venue is Colchester Angling Preservation Society’s ‘Bovington’ Lakes. CAPS are a hugely worthy club who provide a huge range of open access fishing for a big membership. I have always been inspired by the amazing angling photography on Instagram so it felt fitting to invite budding photographers from all over the globe to submit their best shots for 2018. We had well over 5000 entries and choosing the final 12 was nigh on impossible because there were so many spell-binding images. Thanks to all who entered, the overwhelming response has cemented this calendar as an annual event, which is set to hopefully become a carp angling institution that keeps doing good year after year. Thank you for supporting Embryo by purchasing this calendar, I hope you enjoy the incredible images and use the moon phase calendar and top tips from our best anglers to put extra fish in your landing net. Every calendar will create one meter of fencing for a lake that cannot afford it themselves so your money is literally saving a fishes life….. Thank you. Danny Fairbrass”
Pulla Tool, The Pulla has been specially designed so that the angler can easily pull knots tight on hook links and check that they are strong enough. The 2mm stainless steel hook fits perfectly through a Korda Size-8 Swivel or a Link Loop. This handy little tool makes tying rigs much easier, as holding the swivel and tightening up can be a fiddly job.
Mini Pellet Feeder, Based on the same cutting-edge technology that has made the range of Hybrid feeders a huge hit this summer, the new 24g model boasts a super compact design with the weight built into the body of the feeder, allowing excellent casting and hooking properties. Our current range of pellet feeders have served us well, explains Adam Rooney. But there has always been a gap in the range for a mini version however, we found it hard to create a smaller version with sufficient weight. With the birth of the recent Hybrid feeder, which is made using a new type of material where the weight is in the body of the feeder, rather than being a separate weight, it made it possible to produce a feeder with the correct weight to make it efficient and useable in most fishing situations. Using the new material benefits the new Mini Pellet Feeder in many ways. The durable camo paint finish blends into any lake bed and the flared design allows for easy loading and quick release of bait and scent into the water. Slots in the top of the feeder and holes in the base, as seen on the Hybrid range, allow the water to reach the pellets to start breaking down quickly after casting. The unbreakable design has been perfected over many months of testing by Adam Rooney, Pemb Wrighting, Steve Ringer and the Guru team and the feeders are X-Safe compatible, meaning they can be used with Guru's safe elasticated stem system. To compliment the new pellet feeder and recently-launched Hybrid range, the X-Safe Speed Stem range has also seen some new additions in the form of short and long stems with options for heavy and light elastics, allowing greater flexibility. The stems will fit all of Guru's X-Safe compatible feeders. Look out for more on the new pellet feeder on the Guru social media channels and this website over the coming weeks both the Mini Pellet Feeder and range of X-Safe Stems be in tackle shops from late September with an RRP of 2.49.
