You asked us for these, so we added them to the range. These swivels have one very large round eye and one normal size one and, as with all our swivels, they come from the best Japanese manufacturers and have our trademark 'anti glint' dull-grey finish. They have three major uses. Firstly, they make very smooth running rigs when used as a replacement to the swivels found on the top of our leads. They were originally designed as part of the running rig kits. But, after too many enquiries to mention, we had to add them to the range. The second obvious use is for helicopter rigs. The large eye will rotate better if a large bead is used, whereas a smaller swivel would bump around the larger beads circumference. In other words, the large eye will slide effortlessly around it. They can also be used at the top of a link for the marker float - the large eye will allow the line to pull through that bit easier than a standard swivel. No doubt you will find other uses we haven't even thought of yet.
Razor Blades, Ok, there are plenty of scissors already on the market, but we felt we could still improve on these. All the versions currently available are made in a dull, carpy colours, meaning that they are often lost on the bank. Not these babies! The handles have been manufactured in a bright Korda green, so if you misplace these you need to go to Specsavers! It goes without saying that the blades are sharp enough to effortlessly cut through all the rig materials that you use.
Hinge Rig, The hinged stiff rig can be complex to tie, but once mastered, there is no better big-fish rig. To allow you all to harness the power of the hinges, we've made a ready-tied version. Our Hinge rigs are tied to Danny Fairbrass' exacting standards, from the finest components. The hook section is beautifully curved to allow the hook to spin into prime hooking position every time a fish mouths the bait and the IQ boom will kick the hook bait away from the lead on the cast, ensuring perfect presentation. The rigs are available with hook sizes 4, 6 and 8 and in barbed or barbless. - See more at: http://www.korda.co.uk/fishingtackle/line-and-hook-links/ready-tied-hinge-rigs/#sthash.QUMewaZI.dpuf
LWG, These hooks have been tested for some time (indeed, you may have seen them on the Guru website in features!) and launched in 2013 in both eyed and spade-end versions. They're made from a lovely, light wire that will handle everything up to, and including, match-sized carp. They're a super all-round hook that is perfect for use with pellets, maggots and sweetcorn on a range of waters. They're favoured by Guru match ace Andy Bennett and he uses them to amass huge weights from commercials up and down the UK.
Kamo Coated Braid, Kamo is a super-tough, camouflaged coated braid that's incredibly easy to strip. The strippable coating offers a multitude of presentation options, from simple combi rigs, right up to more complex rigs like the multi-rig. The clever banded-camouflage pattern helps your rigs to melt into the lake bed, whatever you're fishing over. Kamo is available in 15lb 20lb and 30lb breaking strains.
