Not only does rig tubing stop the hook link from wrapping around the main line on the cast preventing a tangle, it also stops the fish coming in contact with the line during the fight. This is a vital safety aspect of the rig which we feel should not be ignored. Our tubing has a matt finish, which makes it harder to see underwater and most importantly, easy to thread. It comes in three colours, all of which sink without the need for putty. Having said that, we have seen from the underwater footage that the better the rig is pinned to the lake bed the less scared the carp will be. It is also better to get the colour of the tube exactly right for the spot you are fishing and then weight it with extra putty. Our underwater experience tells us our colours are right and extra putty can only enhance the whole set up but is not as essential as getting the colour right.
MWG, This is an awesome, strong all-round pattern that's suitable for most styles of angling, right from waggler fishing, through to heavy pole work and specialist feeder fishing. It's a more conventional pattern than the QM1 and features a super-wide gape that helps you to connect with as many bites as possible. The beaked shape will help convert solid hook holds into fish in the net. A large eye allows you to thread heavier hook link lines through three times when tying the knotless knot for the most cutting-edge hair-rig presentations. As with the QM1, the MWG is available in sizes 10,12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 and are supplied in packs of 10. We now make a barbed version, the MWGB, which is exactly the same but with a barb. It makes a great carp, river and specialist hook!
Hybrid Stiff, Hybrid Stiff is THE coated hook link for use over clean lake beds. Its super-stiff, camouflaged coating helps kick your hook bait away from the lead every cast, to ensure perfect presentation. As such, its perfect for use with light baits such as pop-ups or wafters. The two versions, weedy green and gravel brown, have been chosen to blend with most lake bed conditions. We recommend that the Hybrid Stiff is used in conjunction with two key Korda tools, the Strippa Tool and the Krimping Tool. The Strippa Tool allows easy stripping of the tough, stiff coating and the Krimping Tool can be used to attach a Link Loop, which can be quickly attached and detached from a Kwik Link when changing rigs.
Bait-Up Method Feeder, The classic original Korda Method feeder has now been updated with some modern twists in the form of the Bait Up Feeder range. It retains many of the features that made the original so good, including the weighted fin that ensures that it always lands the right way up and the hookbait will always fall away from the feeder, increasing your chances of a quick bite. It is a one-piece design, which makes it very strong and durable, and incorporates a bait disc at the front that helps to ensure that your bait stays in place until the feeder reaches the lake or river bed. The soft insert will fit any size 8 Korda swivel - including the Quick Change ones which are popular with this style of fishing – and creates a safe bolt rig, with a tail rubber neatly finishing off the back end of the feeder. As long as bait is moulded evenly around the feeder, it is incredibly stable in flight and will cast a long way. Like the original this is going to become a favourite with anyone who likes to fish the Method, which is still one of the most popular and effective set-ups, especially on bagging-up waters. It will also be popular with specimen anglers targeting species such as tench, barbel and bream. There is a choice of 35g or 50g versions.
Gripper Feeder, We can say without the slightest hint of hype that the new Specialist Gripper Feeders are the best river feeders available. Literally hundreds of hours of research, design and testing has gone into these beautiful feeders, and the list of attributes bears this out. Let's have a closer look at the features. Perhaps the cleverest is the anti-roll design, which means that the feeder stays the right way up in the very fastest of flows, ensuring perfect presentation. This design, coupled with the surprisingly low-profile of the feeders, increased surface area of the lead and protruding feet means that it'll grip extra well. You'll notice that the feeders are supplied with two rigid stems, one that allows them to be used as an inline system, and the other that allows it to be used as a conventional swivel-type feeder, either running, or semi-fixed on a lead clip. The robust plastic frame is overmoulded onto the lead, which makes it much more hardwearing than conventional feeders. The frame itself is tinted with a subtle camo colour, which blends perfectly with a whole host of lakebed conditions. The rigid stems and weight-forward shape make for a feeder that flies true and long, making casting to tight spots much easier. The Specialist Gripper Feeder is available in two sizes, large and medium, and in 1oz, 2oz, 3oz and 4oz versions.
