Not only does rig tubing stop the hook link from wrapping around the main line on the cast preventing a tangle, it also stops the fish coming in contact with the line during the fight. This is a vital safety aspect of the rig which we feel should not be ignored. Our tubing has a matt finish, which makes it harder to see underwater and most importantly, easy to thread. It comes in three colours, all of which sink without the need for putty. Having said that, we have seen from the underwater footage that the better the rig is pinned to the lake bed the less scared the carp will be. It is also better to get the colour of the tube exactly right for the spot you are fishing and then weight it with extra putty. Our underwater experience tells us our colours are right and extra putty can only enhance the whole set up but is not as essential as getting the colour right.
Guru Landing Nets, These four different landing net heads will cover any fishing situation that you’re likely to find yourself in, either on a commercial or when fishing matches on rivers and canals. The Speed 400, Speed 500, Competition 500 and Dual 550 models will handle everything from netting silver fish on light tackle through to bundling big carp into them, and there is an appropriate size and type of mesh for pretty much anything. The Competition 500 has the finest mesh at 2mm and is perfect for hair-rigged baits as they can’t get caught in the mesh, often destroying your rig in the process! The two Speed nets have a 6mm mesh to make them incredibly maneuverable through the water. The Dual 550 offers the best of both, with a 6mm mesh body for ease of netting, but with a 2mm mesh base for practicality and fish comfort. This is the largest model so suitable for specimen angling and larger carp. The alloy frames are incredibly strong, with a durable moulded spreader block and good quality screw thread complete with rubber washer so there is no twist when they’re attached to a net handle.
Embryo Calender 2018, Dear fellow anglers There are several reasons why you may decide to purchase this calendar; it may well be for the wonderful photographs from the world of carp fishing that will inspire you to get out there and fish. Or perhaps the monthly insights from ‘part man, part carp’ Simon Scott, or the detailed information on moon phases, including the ‘hot’ days when you really need to be out on the bank in 2018. That said, the most important reason to buy this calendar is that £7 from every purchase will be spent directly on otter fencing, and you will be helping to protect the future of clubs and syndicates that simply cannot afford to do it themselves. As Embryo takes no profit from the provision of this service, the sale of just 1000 calendars could provide the funds to fence a 10 acre lake. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the production of this calendar, all of whom have done so completely free of charge. Even the printers have made a loss to produce it for us, and the tackle shop you are standing in right now has taken zero income from it. Together we can make a real difference to the sport we all love... Thank you for your contribution. Danny Fairbrass Founder of Embryo Angling Habitats
Maggot Klip, The Maggot Klip makes baiting your rig with maggots easier than ever. Simply open the clip, thread your maggots onto it and close it up again! The Klips are available in a range of different sizes to suit your needs. You can therefore thread on as many maggots as you wish. The clasp fastens tightly onto the front of the Klip making it safe and easy to utilise. They are fantastic for outwitting pressured carp throughout the summer and winter period. We've also been experimenting with seeds of hemp on the Klips and it works extremely well when bites are hard to come by or when you're fishing over a spodded concoction of particles. They come available in X Small, Small, Medium And Large.
SkyLiner MkII Spod, A little while back, we re-vamped the design and colour to evolve the MKII. Firstly, the body of the spod has changed from black to a carpy green colour. We have also taken the front flights nearest the nose cone off, which means the spods flight will not be as badly affected in cross winds. In addition, all of our spods now come with detachable spod tails. These are stiff, which assists casting performance and also makes filling with bait much easier. The Korda Skyliner Spod MKII is a cross breed of all the best parts of modern day bait rockets. It is the result of many thousands of hours spent spodding by Team Korda. The combined design features give you a spod that: Casts further than anything in its class Loses very little feed out of the back Is less affected by cross winds, dumps the load quickly Is easily seen at any distance and retrieves so smoothly it feels like its not there. It also features a unique hole configuration makes the spod literally glide along the surface with virtually no resistance, this feature alone makes it miles better than the rest. The spod is easy to fill - we recommend a mix of particles like hemp and partiblend with some pellets and small or broken boilies as an ideal mix. The pellets will break down and form a stodgy mix, which causes a cloud effect in the water and stops any spillage out the bag of the spod in flight. Use a fairly long drop to get the rod working for you. The ideal drop would see the spod around level with the spigot of the rod if the rod were dead upright.
