Our Run Rig Rubbers have been specially designed for use with running rigs incorporating theDark Matter Leaders, Leadcore, Kamo Rig Tube or Dark Matter Rig Tube. As you'd expect from Korda, these are like no other running rig beads available. It was while fishing at long distance on a running-rig-only water that Danny came up with this new idea. A shoulder has been angled on the rubber at 30 degrees, this means the Big Eye Swivel holding the lead sits at a much better angle than any standard running rig setup, this will not only minimise the chance of any tangles but will also help get those extra few yards when fishing at long range. The soft rubber compound is designed to hold the swivel and rig tube securely. As with the rest of the Safe Zone range, they are available in the four key colours because, by matching your components to suit the lake bed you are fishing you'll improve your results.
Stow Indicator Heads, Who said that you had to restrict yourself to just one set of coloured heads?! You can in fact buy spare heads in all the different Stow colours. Before you simply clip one onto your line, take time to check out the smooth lines and perfect functionality of these super-indicators. Long-time Elstow user Damian Clarke has made the production of these heads an absolute labour of love and it shows! Truly things of beauty.
COG System, A lead system that betters the hooking qualities of an inline, yet casts like a lead clip, with all its safety benefits? It doesn't exist, right? Well, such a product has just arrived at Korda HQ. After what seems like ages in the development, the COG system is finally here, in physical form. COG stands for Centre of Gravity, which is a reference to the unique way that the hook link is attached to the heaviest part of the lead, giving instant, unparalleled hooking. Put simply, this system has been designed to convert more pick-ups into fish on the bank. When to use it then? Well, it's best used over firm lake beds like gravel, sand and firm silt, rather than weed, when you're better to reach for the Heli-Safe system. It can be cast every bit as far as a normal lead clip system, although when going for extreme range, it's worth dispensing with any PVA bags as the impact could force the half-swivel out of the lead. For margin work and placing from boats, the COG is simply unrivalled. Initially, there are just two lead shapes available, flat pear and distance, which should cover you for most fishing situations. The flat pear version is best used for closer range, lowering or dropping from a boat, whereas the distance version is the one to reach for if you're having to go long for your fish. One point well worth noting is that the COG boom sections are numbered (on the swivel) because it's essential that they are used with the correct lead. If you use the wrong boom with the wrong lead, the setup simply won't work as intended.
KD Rig, These pre-tied KD rigs are a worthy addition to our ready-tied rig range, such is the popularity and effectiveness of this presentation. Korda was at the very heart of the KD-rig revolution a few years back, and the likes of Tom Dove and Ali Hamidi still use it, as well as its variant, the Muzza. So, with this in mind, we wanted to make sure that our ready-tied version was what we considered to be the ultimate KD on the market. After Tom tied and approved what he considered to be the perfect KD rig, we had it copied by our rig tiers. You'll notice that each ready-tied rig has been meticulously produced, to Tom's exacting specifications. The result is a range of rigs that Tom himself would happily cast out and use with confidence! The range, which numbers six rigs, is tied with proven Korda components, which include ultra-sharp Kurv Shanks and N-Trap coated braid. The range includes rigs with both barbed and barbless hooks, and in sizes that cover almost all eventualities. The KD range is available in hook sizes six, eight and ten and each rig comes with free Extenda stops and standard hair stops.
Running Rig, Korda Hybrid Running Rigs are a crossbreed of the best parts of modern running rigs. The large eye of the special swivel creates very little friction, greatly enhancing bite indication. The small lead link and silicone sleeve combine to form a very neat, tangle-proof system. The rig can be left on your rods, minus the lead, in between sessions too, maximising bank time. Running rigs offer better indication of what is happening at the rig end. When fish are picking up the rig and getting away with it, running rigs will show this more accurately. Using low-stretch monos, like Touchdown, will also greatly enhance the indication.
