The first dedicated floater fishing hook. These have been designed to hook even the shyest feeding carp on the surface. With a short shank, super-wide gape, beaked, offset point, they truly are made for the job. The final most noticeable point about these hooks is their sharpness: positively hypodermic is the best possible description. The guys at Korda have been using them for all manner of carp fishing situations as Ali Hamidi explained, They were initially designed for surface fishing, but great hook patterns like this, considering their sharpness and characteristics lend themselves to lots of fishing scenarios. They've been catching specimen Chub, Barbel and obviously loads of carp during testing. The Mixa hook is available in barbed and barbless versions, in size 6, 8, 10 & 12.
Micro Rig Swivel, From bait attachment, to combi-rig construction, the Micro Rig Swivel has a host of rig applications. It's perhaps most widely used sliding on the shank of a hook, forming the blow-back element of many rigs. Crucially, it has the same non-reflective coating that our other rig components are blessed with, eliminating any glint that might otherwise spook feeding fish.
Embryo Calender, Dear fellow anglers There are several reasons why you may decide to purchase this calendar; it may well be for the wonderful photographs from the world of carp fishing that will inspire you to get out there and fish. Or perhaps the monthly insights from ‘part man, part carp’ Simon Scott, or the detailed information on moon phases, including the ‘hot’ days when you really need to be out on the bank in 2017. That said, the most important reason to buy this calendar is that £X from every purchase will be spent directly on otter fencing, and you will be helping to protect the future of clubs and syndicates that simply cannot afford to do it themselves. As Embryo takes no profit from the provision of this service, the sale of just 1000 calendars could provide the funds to fence a 10 acre lake. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the production of this calendar, all of whom have done so completely free of charge. Even the printers have made a loss to produce it for us, and the tackle shop you are standing in right now has taken zero income from it. Together we can make a real difference to the sport we all love... Thank you for your contribution. Danny Fairbrass Founder of Embryo Angling Habitats
Method Feeder Clip, The Method Feeder Clip simply clips onto the hookbait plate of any of the Method feeders in the Guru range, with different sizes designed to match the feeders – the large will fit the 28g and 45g feeders. As well as keeping your hookbait right in amongst your loosefeed, it also allows you to effectively fish very short hook links without the associated problems that usually accompany those – difficulty in tying them and increased potential for hook-pulls due to the close proximity of the feeder to the hook during the fight – as once a fish is hooked your hooklink will pull free from the Method Feeder Clip, and you will be back to playing it on your normal length of hooklink. It will also come in very useful on venues that ban bolt rigs as you can fish it with a running feeder, but still get the self-hooking effect that a bolt rig would give, as the clip grips the line until a fish is hooked. If you are using it with a pop-up then there is no need for any counter-balance weight, simply place the hooklink in the clip to set the required distance that you want your hookbait to sit above the loosefeed. Or you can use it to make sure that a bottom bait stays right in amongst the groundbait even once fish have disturbed it.This is going to be a big hit with match and pleasure anglers, but is also likely to find favour with specimen anglers who want to use the Method and fish very short hook links. This is one of those incredibly simple products which can make a big difference to your catch rate!
