Offering an integrated bait storage and protection system with four sizes of Push Punch, it’s the perfect solution to the problem of keeping bread and meat baits fresh along with an effective way of punching out hook baits.
Its uses range from commercial carping with punched boilie and meat hook baits or popped-up bread disks, to trotting or feeder fishing rivers with punched flake and meat offerings.
Guru brand manager Adam Rooney explains how the Guru Punch Box came about: “With the ever-increasing use of punched baits on the match scene, especially punched bread, the Guru team felt there was a gap in the market for a good quality bait punch that would be suitable for a wide range of baits.”
“To go alongside this we wanted to design a storage system to house the punches and the bait together. The storage system needed to make the bait easy assessable and, most importantly, keep the bait in perfect condition. After months of research an old product from 15-plus years ago sparked an idea.”
“Back in the day on canals the Image Bread Box was an essential piece of kit - it was a simple tray with a sliding lid, allowing you to store the bread, then slide the lid across, punch a piece out then simply slide it back, keeping your bread dry and in good condition.”
“With this in mind, the Guru team played around with a few ideas to come up with the perfect punched bait system. Integrating the sliding lid design to the new box, also included are four Push Punches in 6, 8, 10 and 12mm sizes, which clip neatly into the rear of the box.”
The lid is also tinted to protect baits like meat and bread from drying out in the sun, and rubber feet on the base prevent the punch box slipping on the side tray. The robust design is slim enough to fit easily inside carryalls or seat boxes without taking up much room.
The Push Punches have also been custom designed for the Punch Box with a plunger system to release bait with minimal effort – it can easily cut out and dispense multiple disks of bread or meat without any damage to the bait, for example.
The razor sharp cutting edge makes fast work of even harder baits such as boilies or pepperami and the stainless steel won’t rust or warp under pressure.
Mixa Hook, The first dedicated floater fishing hook. These have been designed to hook even the shyest feeding carp on the surface. With a short shank, super-wide gape, beaked, offset point, they truly are made for the job. The final most noticeable point about these hooks is their sharpness: positively hypodermic is the best possible description. The guys at Korda have been using them for all manner of carp fishing situations as Ali Hamidi explained, They were initially designed for surface fishing, but great hook patterns like this, considering their sharpness and characteristics lend themselves to lots of fishing scenarios. They've been catching specimen Chub, Barbel and obviously loads of carp during testing. The Mixa hook is available in barbed and barbless versions, in size 6, 8, 10 & 12.
DF Rig, Who wouldn't want to fish like Danny Fairbrass? Let's face it; the head of Korda catches more than his fair share of fish of all sizes, home and abroad. Well, as of right now, you can get one step closer, by using the DF ready tied rig range, which are available from all Korda stockists. These rigs have been tied to the exacting standards that Danny insists on from tried and tested components. The hair length, loop size and amount of coating stripped back are exactly as DF himself would use, allowing you to take a giant leap towards carping success! So, what exactly is the DF rig? Well, it's the rig that Danny has refined over the past decade, tweaking it and substituting new components as better technology has become available. It's a versatile rig that can be used for straight boilie fishing or with plastic corn over the top of spodded particles. It's a great hooker that lends itself perfectly to use with critically balanced presentations, standard bottom baits or pop-ups alike (with the addition of a split shot, Sinker or Dark Matter putty of course). It features all-time classic hook, the formidable Korda Wide Gape, with its secure beak and robust forging, coupled to the best coated braid out there, N-Trap Soft. Of course, the shrink tube is our finest Safe Zone stuff, and the rig rings are Korda through and through. Buy a few of these rigs and it'll be as if you had Danny with you on the bank, tying your rigs for you!! There can be no finer recommendation than that, can there? The standard DF rigs are available in barbed and barbless versions, in sizes 10,8 and 6, and come in packaging that keeps them nice and straight and protects those all-important hook points, keeping them needle sharp!

Chod Swivel, These size-eleven ring swivels have been subtly re-engineered to allow for putty to be securely moulded around the barrel. We'd noticed that most anglers used our size-11 ring swivels when making chod rigs, or the hook section of a hinged stiff rig. The team set about designing a swivel that would provide more purchase for the putty counterweight. These little beauties are the result...
