Traditionally, there was no particular science to hook bait placement within the method ball and your bait could even become trapped inside or under the feeder frame. Guru has, quite literally, turned this upside down. Commercial master Steve Ringer engineered a groundbreaking hook bait platform, which sits on the opposite side of the feeder to the main weight loading, ensuring that the hook bait sits on top of the feeder cast after cast. The platform itself is positioned on X-shaped, vented arms that are configured to minimize tangles and allow maximum grip, ensuring that your groundbait can be loaded easily onto the feeder.
One cast with a Guru Method Feeder and you'll understand why it's shaped like it is. The team made long, stable casting a real priority and the weight-forward design really delivers this. These feeders cut across testing crosswinds, like a dart, allowing you to consistently hit the spot, effortlessly building your swim. The colour of the frame is anything but an afterthought. Steve drew upon what he knows of the underwater environment to choose a colour that melts inconspicuously into most lake bed types.
The unique X-Safe elastic system acts as a buffer during the fight, helping to reduce hook pulls at the net. Not only that, but thanks to the innovative design, it's 100 per cent safe for the fish. Should you lose a fish and leave it attached to the feeder, the elastic will simply pull free, allowing the fish to ditch the feeder.
The Method feeders are available in four sizes and all sizes of feeder are completely interchangeable and spare elastics and tubes are available separately.
PURE, Fluorocarbon line can be a real edge in your fishing, but many of the products on the market aren’t very user-friendly or are of poor quality, but now you no longer need to worry about that! After extensive testing, both by top match anglers as well as specimen hunters, we can bring you the new PURE fluorocarbon, which will be hitting a tackle shop near you from Monday onwards! We wanted something which not only performed incredibly well and which you know that you can rely on, but is also easy to use and offers consistency, and in the form of PURE, which is a premium quality fluorocarbon which we have sourced from Japan, we have found the perfect material. There are ten different diameters available ranging from 0.08mm to 0.30mm, all of which are accurately measured and stated, and corresponding breaking strains from 1lb to 10lb, which will cover everything from the lightest match fishing right up to specimen fishing for species such as tench and barbel. Many of the Guru team of anglers have already been putting it to good use by winning matches, and specimen hunter Stuart Court used it to good effect recently to land a personal best perch of 4lb 9oz from a river using the 0.22mm version. PURE is virtually invisible in water due to its refractive index and is also incredibly abrasion resistant and has exceptional strength for its diameter, but still retains enough suppleness to be user-friendly.It is the perfect choice for use as a hook length material or rig line, and comes on 50m spools. The spools will fit into the Guru EVA luggage and are designed to dispense PURE in a controlled way so that only the length that you need comes off of the spool.
Maggot Klip, The Maggot Klip makes baiting your rig with maggots easier than ever. Simply open the clip, thread your maggots onto it and close it up again! The Klips are available in a range of different sizes to suit your needs. You can therefore thread on as many maggots as you wish. The clasp fastens tightly onto the front of the Klip making it safe and easy to utilise. They are fantastic for outwitting pressured carp throughout the summer and winter period. We've also been experimenting with seeds of hemp on the Klips and it works extremely well when bites are hard to come by or when you're fishing over a spodded concoction of particles. They come available in X Small, Small, Medium And Large.
Xtra Strong Carp Spade, The X-Strong Spade pattern has been designed for hit-and-hold margin fishing on the pole. The extra wide gape and long, durable point result in great hook holds, allowing you to bully large carp, tench or barbel from snags or reeds. The design of the hook makes it perfect for use with large baits like meat. The spade makes it perfect for use with most conventional pole rigs and ensures that the line exits the hook shank perfectly in line for excellent hooking potential. There are six sizes in the range, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20, which will cover you for most heavy-duty work on a range of venues.
Boom, Boom is a game-changing fluorocarbon! It’s our first fluorocarbon that can be crimped, which opens up a world of uses for rig tying. Its prime function is for creating stiff boom sections to help kick the hook bait away from the lead system, something Boom does each and every cast. You can use it to make combi-rigs, or out-and-out stiff rigs, for pop-ups and bottom baits alike. Your imagination is the only limit to its rig applications. Being a fluorocarbon, Boom blends with all lake bed types and, thanks to its subtle, green tint, it’s always inconspicuous to carp feeding around it. Boom is available in 0.55mm and 0.65mm, on 15m spools.
