Traditionally, there was no particular science to hook bait placement within the method ball and your bait could even become trapped inside or under the feeder frame. Guru has, quite literally, turned this upside down. Commercial master Steve Ringer engineered a groundbreaking hook bait platform, which sits on the opposite side of the feeder to the main weight loading, ensuring that the hook bait sits on top of the feeder cast after cast. The platform itself is positioned on X-shaped, vented arms that are configured to minimize tangles and allow maximum grip, ensuring that your groundbait can be loaded easily onto the feeder.
One cast with a Guru Method Feeder and you'll understand why it's shaped like it is. The team made long, stable casting a real priority and the weight-forward design really delivers this. These feeders cut across testing crosswinds, like a dart, allowing you to consistently hit the spot, effortlessly building your swim. The colour of the frame is anything but an afterthought. Steve drew upon what he knows of the underwater environment to choose a colour that melts inconspicuously into most lake bed types.
The unique X-Safe elastic system acts as a buffer during the fight, helping to reduce hook pulls at the net. Not only that, but thanks to the innovative design, it's 100 per cent safe for the fish. Should you lose a fish and leave it attached to the feeder, the elastic will simply pull free, allowing the fish to ditch the feeder.
The Method feeders are available in four sizes and all sizes of feeder are completely interchangeable and spare elastics and tubes are available separately.
Guru Landing Nets, These four different landing net heads will cover any fishing situation that you’re likely to find yourself in, either on a commercial or when fishing matches on rivers and canals. The Speed 400, Speed 500, Competition 500 and Dual 550 models will handle everything from netting silver fish on light tackle through to bundling big carp into them, and there is an appropriate size and type of mesh for pretty much anything. The Competition 500 has the finest mesh at 2mm and is perfect for hair-rigged baits as they can’t get caught in the mesh, often destroying your rig in the process! The two Speed nets have a 6mm mesh to make them incredibly maneuverable through the water. The Dual 550 offers the best of both, with a 6mm mesh body for ease of netting, but with a 2mm mesh base for practicality and fish comfort. This is the largest model so suitable for specimen angling and larger carp. The alloy frames are incredibly strong, with a durable moulded spreader block and good quality screw thread complete with rubber washer so there is no twist when they’re attached to a net handle.
Speedstops & Needle, We're always looking for ways to increase the efficiency of our angling, and this little gem is the latest result of that search. The Speedstop system allows ultra-quick mounting of drilled pellets, soft pellets, corn luncheon meat, boilies and worms onto the hair rig. Once the small, plastic Speedstop is tied to the hair it can be fitted to the Speedstop Needle and pushed easily through a bait. Once through, the Speedstop acts as a hair stop. Each pack includes one Speedstop Needle and 36 Speedstops. Packs containing 36 spare Speedstops are also available.
Krimps, This clever system will allow us all to reach brand-new heights of neatness in rig creation. The Krimps and Krimp tool have been designed to allow easy rig construction with stiff materials (at the moment we only recommend Hybrid Stiff, Mouth Trap and Boom). In particular, we're really excited about the potential to create extremely neat loops for chod rigs and Boom sections. Not only this, but using Krimps will allow you to create chod rigs that are exactly the same length each and every time. There are two sizes of Krimp available, which have been designed to suit different materials. The smaller one will suit stiff bristle materials like Mouth Trap and stiff coated braids, like our Hybrid Stiff, and the larger one is perfect for really thick materials (like 30lb plus mono or the 35lb Boom). The product development team went to extreme lengths to make sure that the Krimps and Krimp tools were exactly right, having to overcome various problems along the way. The complexity of getting the tool and Krimps just right has meant that this has been a long development, but we're sure that it's been well worth the wait.
Embryo Calender 2018, Dear fellow anglers There are several reasons why you may decide to purchase this calendar; it may well be for the wonderful photographs from the world of carp fishing that will inspire you to get out there and fish. Or perhaps the monthly insights from ‘part man, part carp’ Simon Scott, or the detailed information on moon phases, including the ‘hot’ days when you really need to be out on the bank in 2018. That said, the most important reason to buy this calendar is that £7 from every purchase will be spent directly on otter fencing, and you will be helping to protect the future of clubs and syndicates that simply cannot afford to do it themselves. As Embryo takes no profit from the provision of this service, the sale of just 1000 calendars could provide the funds to fence a 10 acre lake. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the production of this calendar, all of whom have done so completely free of charge. Even the printers have made a loss to produce it for us, and the tackle shop you are standing in right now has taken zero income from it. Together we can make a real difference to the sport we all love... Thank you for your contribution. Danny Fairbrass Founder of Embryo Angling Habitats
