If you’re looking for a top quality ready-tied rig for feeder fishing that takes the hassle out of tying your own, then look no further than the new Guru Feeder Special Rigs.
The Light Wide Gape Feeder hook pattern has been a big success and is the hook of choice for many feeder anglers, so it made perfect sense to use this spade end pattern here and it will be popular with those of you who aren’t confident in tying on your own spade ends!
These rigs come tied on 100cm of our superb high-tech Japanese N-Gauge mono, which is incredibly strong, low diameter and super clear, and the breaking strain used has been matched to the relevant hook size.
Our existing range of ready rigs have been a massive success, and like those the Feeder Special comes supplied on an EVA spool which will fit neatly into the Guru Rig Box, with eight rigs on a spool.
These rigs are perfect for many types of feeder or bomb fishing, and for a wide variety of species such as bream, tench, silver fish or even smaller carp. They come with a loop already tied at the end, but should you fish to, you can cut them back and tie your own to shorten the length.
They are available in size 10 to 6lb; size 12 to 5lb; size 14 to 5lb; size 16 to 4lb; size 18 to 4lb; and size 20 to 3lb.
Touchdown, Touchdown is a performance mono that has been designed to help you feel more as the lead impacts the bottom. This has been achieved by reducing the stretch, while maintaining the abrasion resistance and casting performance. It sinks well and has great knot strength. We've made it available in two versions, a low-viz green and a dark brown colour to suit all the lake bed conditions that you're likely to encounter. Touchdown is available in 10lb, 12lb, 15lb and 20lb, covering you for all carp angling disciplines.
Method Feeder Clip, The Method Feeder Clip simply clips onto the hookbait plate of any of the Method feeders in the Guru range, with different sizes designed to match the feeders – the large will fit the 28g and 45g feeders. As well as keeping your hookbait right in amongst your loosefeed, it also allows you to effectively fish very short hook links without the associated problems that usually accompany those – difficulty in tying them and increased potential for hook-pulls due to the close proximity of the feeder to the hook during the fight – as once a fish is hooked your hooklink will pull free from the Method Feeder Clip, and you will be back to playing it on your normal length of hooklink. It will also come in very useful on venues that ban bolt rigs as you can fish it with a running feeder, but still get the self-hooking effect that a bolt rig would give, as the clip grips the line until a fish is hooked. If you are using it with a pop-up then there is no need for any counter-balance weight, simply place the hooklink in the clip to set the required distance that you want your hookbait to sit above the loosefeed. Or you can use it to make sure that a bottom bait stays right in amongst the groundbait even once fish have disturbed it.This is going to be a big hit with match and pleasure anglers, but is also likely to find favour with specimen anglers who want to use the Method and fish very short hook links. This is one of those incredibly simple products which can make a big difference to your catch rate!
N-Gauge, This is a high-tech Japanese mono that's as good as they come. One thing that the development team was adamant about was that the diameter should be absolutely consistent because it was felt that a number of competitor lines were not and the potential to mislead the angler was present. Steve Ringer wanted to make sure that N-Gauge was rated properly for the consumer, yet while still offering unparalleled breaking strain. Lengthy research and field-testing led to the finished N-Gauge. N-Gauge is available in 3lb (0.11mm), 4lb (0.13mm), 5lb (0.15mm), 6lb (0.17mm), 7lb (0.19mm), 9lb (0.22mm), 12lb (0.25mm) breaking strains, which will cover all commercial-water fishing as well as most specialist-angling situations. N-Gauge is super clear, which makes it suitable for even the most gin-clear of waters holding the wariest quarry. It is available on 100m spools, which represents great value for money.
