Our Slow Sinking Maize has been designed to waft down ever so slowly, making it the perfect hook bait to use over light particles , stick mix or groundbait. It's actually useful for use as a single hook bait too because of the unique way that it has been made. Rather than simply soaking the finished pieces of maize in flavour, we've had the flavour mixed in at the moulding stage, so the lovely lingering smell will last ages! There are four flavour combinations available, IB, Banoffee, Citrus Zing and Fruity Squid. These are classic blends of flavours that the Korda team has been using for decades in some cases! Each variant is a different colour, so you're sure to find one that suits your angling in the range. You get 10 pieces of corn per pack and free matching hair stops too!
Super Wrap, The Super Wrap has been designed by our product team to prevent crayfish and nuisance species damaging or stealing your hook baits. It's so simple and straightforward to use, simply slide your hook bait into the desired length of tube and shrink over a steaming kettle. Then repeat this process, placing the second length of tube at 90 degrees to the first. Using an Extenda Stop will ensure your hook bait cannot be removed from the hair. The Super Wrap comes in three different sizes to match your hook bait: 12mm, 22mm and 32mm.
Inline Safety Kit, This innovative system designed by Jason Hayward allows you to fish inline leads in weedy conditions, as the lead will eject from the stem when snagged. The Inline Safety Kit provides a fish-friendly way of using an inline lead. The fail safe release mechanism will withstand any cast, and ensures the lead will only release if the rig is lost or the fish gets weeded/snagged. This makes the Inline Safety Kit perfect to use fish with short hook links or around weed and snags. It’s also perfect to use in Solidz bags. “This low profile, inconspicuous inline set-up will only eject the lead when necessary. The kit is safe, camouflaged and efficient in use.” - Jason Hayward When using the the Safety Kit, ensure the tail rubber is fully pushed onto the insert. The system is compatible with leadcore, tubing and naked set-ups. Both the leads and the inserts have corresponding numbers to make sure all the parts match and work the way they are designed. We would recommend not to use it for casting with Funnel Web bags. The Inline leads will also be sold separately in 2oz, 2.5oz 3oz and 3.5oz versions.
Underwater 8, Our first St Johns adventure made angling history in Underwater 7 and landing the lake’s biggest resident, The Big Plated, was a euphoric moment for team Korda. However, Underwater 8, which was filmed during the same session, reaches new heights and breaks even more ground on our underwater journey! For the first time in the history of this unique series, Danny Fairbrass hands over the fishing reins to Ali Hamidi and Tom Dove. New methods are tested, tactics such as solid bags and pop-ups are used for the very first time, alongside many more eye-opening approaches. The lads take an amazing haul of fish culminating in yet ANOTHER 40lb carp, making Underwater 8 the pinnacle of our work in this area. Sit back, put your feet up and get ready for the angling shock of your lives. This is Underwater 8…
Krimps, This clever system will allow us all to reach brand-new heights of neatness in rig creation. The Krimps and Krimp tool have been designed to allow easy rig construction with stiff materials (at the moment we only recommend Hybrid Stiff, Mouth Trap and Boom). In particular, we're really excited about the potential to create extremely neat loops for chod rigs and Boom sections. Not only this, but using Krimps will allow you to create chod rigs that are exactly the same length each and every time. There are two sizes of Krimp available, which have been designed to suit different materials. The smaller one will suit stiff bristle materials like Mouth Trap and stiff coated braids, like our Hybrid Stiff, and the larger one is perfect for really thick materials (like 30lb plus mono or the 35lb Boom). The product development team went to extreme lengths to make sure that the Krimps and Krimp tools were exactly right, having to overcome various problems along the way. The complexity of getting the tool and Krimps just right has meant that this has been a long development, but we're sure that it's been well worth the wait.
