Guru Beta (Navy) hoodies are the latest releases in the Guru clothing range. The material and fitting follow the original Guru hoodie design with a cross-over front collar, double hood for keeping the draft out and ribbed underarm panels to enhance upper body movement. They're cosy enough for winter wear, yet you'll also find them ideal for keeping out the chill on early summer, spring or autumn mornings.
Mini Pellet Feeder, Based on the same cutting-edge technology that has made the range of Hybrid feeders a huge hit this summer, the new 24g model boasts a super compact design with the weight built into the body of the feeder, allowing excellent casting and hooking properties. Our current range of pellet feeders have served us well, explains Adam Rooney. But there has always been a gap in the range for a mini version however, we found it hard to create a smaller version with sufficient weight. With the birth of the recent Hybrid feeder, which is made using a new type of material where the weight is in the body of the feeder, rather than being a separate weight, it made it possible to produce a feeder with the correct weight to make it efficient and useable in most fishing situations. Using the new material benefits the new Mini Pellet Feeder in many ways. The durable camo paint finish blends into any lake bed and the flared design allows for easy loading and quick release of bait and scent into the water. Slots in the top of the feeder and holes in the base, as seen on the Hybrid range, allow the water to reach the pellets to start breaking down quickly after casting. The unbreakable design has been perfected over many months of testing by Adam Rooney, Pemb Wrighting, Steve Ringer and the Guru team and the feeders are X-Safe compatible, meaning they can be used with Guru's safe elasticated stem system. To compliment the new pellet feeder and recently-launched Hybrid range, the X-Safe Speed Stem range has also seen some new additions in the form of short and long stems with options for heavy and light elastics, allowing greater flexibility. The stems will fit all of Guru's X-Safe compatible feeders. Look out for more on the new pellet feeder on the Guru social media channels and this website over the coming weeks both the Mini Pellet Feeder and range of X-Safe Stems be in tackle shops from late September with an RRP of 2.49.
Chod Rig, Our ready-tied chod rigs really are perfection in a packet! Not only are they super-convenient, they're also flawlessly tied. In fact, we're not sure that any of our experienced chod-rig anglers, Danny Fairbrass included, could tie a neater version! Each rig has been tied to exacting standards, using the same knots and techniques that Danny uses for his own rigs. That means that each ready-tied rig has been constructed using Dan's special whipping knot, which gives unrivaled neatness and allows the knot to sit perfectly on the shank. What's more, rather than simply releasing one version, we've taken into consideration the fact that some anglers prefer short choddies, whereas others like a longer version, and released both types. So, if you like your choddies short like Darrell Peck's naked chod rig or, you prefer them longer, like Adam Penning's traditional leadcore rig, then you'll find a rig to suit. The rigs are tied with Mouth Trap, which instantly places them above all the other ready-tied chods on the market, simply because it's the most workable stiff-rig material ever! If your ready-tied chod gets knocked out of shape during a battle, you can simply work it back into shape. The Mouth Trap is tied to the ever-reliable Choddy hook, which practically guarantees a secure hook hold. The rigs are available in both bardbed and barbless versions, which come supplied in packs of three.
Pulla Tool, The Pulla has been specially designed so that the angler can easily pull knots tight on hook links and check that they are strong enough. The 2mm stainless steel hook fits perfectly through a Korda Size-8 Swivel or a Link Loop. This handy little tool makes tying rigs much easier, as holding the swivel and tightening up can be a fiddly job.
