Long gone are the days of spending hours in the kitchen mashing up potent-smelling fishmeal boilies in a food blender. Why? Because the Krusha is here. There have been many devices over the years developed to crush up baits, such as the vegetable chopper, but most couldn't handle the rigours of day-to-day carp angling. The blades would often bend, break or blunt and at times it could take hours to grind up a kilo of boilies, let alone tiger nuts or pellets. The principle behind the Krusha was simple. We wanted to devise something that could crush up literally any bait out there within seconds, whether that be tiger nuts, pellets or air-dried boilies. So, the Krusha was born. Created as an ultra-strong and robust device the Krusha uses its sharp teeth to work together in motion to demolish anything that you put before it. Finished in a carpy, olive green colour and available in both large and small, the Krusha is perfect for the day-to-day carp angler. To use, simply fill the Krusha on the section that states FILL', place the other section over the top and begin to twist. The more vigorously you twist, the smaller the items will be. Grinding pellets to a mere dust creates a mighty fine bag mix and if you're a fan of solid bags, look no further. The boilie crumb will also be a fantastic addition to a stick mix or spod concoction. Experiment with literally anything and you could create the ultimate mix!
Kurv Shank, The Kurv Shank is a fantastically versatile hook. It's agressive hooking properties make it ideal for pop-up presentations and bottom-bait rigs too. It features in some of the most devastating rigs that we know, including Danny's trademark IQ D-Rig and Ali Hamidi & Gaz Fareham's pop-up combi rig. It owes its fantastic hooking properties to the sweeping curve of the shank, in-turned eye and long, straight, needle-sharp point. Those features make this pattern a great hooker when used without shrink tube. A simple knotless-knot rig will suffice when using the Kurv Shanks.
4" QM1 Bait Band, These short ready-tied rigs have been designed for use with the Method, Hybrid and Pellet feeders. They're tied with bait bands, which make baiting with hard pellets child's play. They're tied with the radical QM1 hooks, which provide first-class hook holds and allow you to bank more fish, when you need it most. This pattern of hook makes the absolute most of the self-hooking potential of the bolt effect given by these modern methods.
Krimps, This clever system will allow us all to reach brand-new heights of neatness in rig creation. The Krimps and Krimp tool have been designed to allow easy rig construction with stiff materials (at the moment we only recommend Hybrid Stiff, Mouth Trap and Boom). In particular, we're really excited about the potential to create extremely neat loops for chod rigs and Boom sections. Not only this, but using Krimps will allow you to create chod rigs that are exactly the same length each and every time. There are two sizes of Krimp available, which have been designed to suit different materials. The smaller one will suit stiff bristle materials like Mouth Trap and stiff coated braids, like our Hybrid Stiff, and the larger one is perfect for really thick materials (like 30lb plus mono or the 35lb Boom). The product development team went to extreme lengths to make sure that the Krimps and Krimp tools were exactly right, having to overcome various problems along the way. The complexity of getting the tool and Krimps just right has meant that this has been a long development, but we're sure that it's been well worth the wait.
Mini Pellet Feeder, Based on the same cutting-edge technology that has made the range of Hybrid feeders a huge hit this summer, the new 24g model boasts a super compact design with the weight built into the body of the feeder, allowing excellent casting and hooking properties. Our current range of pellet feeders have served us well, explains Adam Rooney. But there has always been a gap in the range for a mini version however, we found it hard to create a smaller version with sufficient weight. With the birth of the recent Hybrid feeder, which is made using a new type of material where the weight is in the body of the feeder, rather than being a separate weight, it made it possible to produce a feeder with the correct weight to make it efficient and useable in most fishing situations. Using the new material benefits the new Mini Pellet Feeder in many ways. The durable camo paint finish blends into any lake bed and the flared design allows for easy loading and quick release of bait and scent into the water. Slots in the top of the feeder and holes in the base, as seen on the Hybrid range, allow the water to reach the pellets to start breaking down quickly after casting. The unbreakable design has been perfected over many months of testing by Adam Rooney, Pemb Wrighting, Steve Ringer and the Guru team and the feeders are X-Safe compatible, meaning they can be used with Guru's safe elasticated stem system. To compliment the new pellet feeder and recently-launched Hybrid range, the X-Safe Speed Stem range has also seen some new additions in the form of short and long stems with options for heavy and light elastics, allowing greater flexibility. The stems will fit all of Guru's X-Safe compatible feeders. Look out for more on the new pellet feeder on the Guru social media channels and this website over the coming weeks both the Mini Pellet Feeder and range of X-Safe Stems be in tackle shops from late September with an RRP of 2.49.
