The 11 ft Feeder in the Aventus range is an incredibly popular length for all kinds of fishing. Made to Tackle Guru specifications by Daiwa in the renowned UK facilities using the highest quality Japanese carbon and most up-to-date rod technology.
Although only 11ft in length, you only have to have a cast or two with this rod to see its capabilities.
Two piece, folding down in half for use in a Fusion Rod Holdall. Supplied with three glass quiver tips - 1oz, 1.5oz and 2oz. The rod has a casting weight of 80g.
Like the whole of the Aventus range, this rod has complete all-round capabilities. At home fishing for carp on commercials in the summer months when big fish and big weights are on the cards, while equally comfortable for catching skimmers and f1s in the winter or silvers on natural venues.
A crisp, progressive action means the rod has lots of power when needed, while withholding a fish playing action that prevents hook pulls.
The rod features oversized top-spec Fuji Alconite K-Guides, bullet proof, super durable, and designed to prevent frap-ups and tangles. All guides are strategically positioned to give the rod the perfect compression, casting and playing action.
An A-Grade Cork handle is ultra comfortable and hardwearing, featuring the Armlock design to give you ultimate fish-playing control. Finished off with a Fuji DPS real seat.
The butt of the rod is completed with a moulded bespoke Guru EVA hand grip, with finger moulds to help hand positioning on the cast, enabling maximum compression, distance and accuracy to be achieved with ease!
A key feature is the length of the handles - longer than normal to again help casing distance and accuracy. More leverage and power can be gained from the longer handle, helping anglers be more accurate and cast further.
A unique and key asset to the Aventus project is Zero 90 carbon technology. This process involves double layering carbon fibres in different ways from zero to 90 degrees. When cured, this gives rods combined longitudinal strength, recovery and crispness. The tubular shape of any fishing rod is deformed when compressed. Zero 90 technology enables us to control this deformation, preventing energy and accuracy loss, retaining the cylindrical structure to give more casting power and precision.
X-Safe Speed Stems, Developed by top match anglers Steve Ringer, Adam Rooney and Pemb Wrighting, a feeder or lead equipped with the X-Safe Speed Stems allows for ultra-quick re-casts - all you need to do is unclip the whole feeder or lead from the main line and attach a new ready-to-go rig. Using this system, the Guru team have won countless matches this year with the Speed Stems allowing anglers to have multiple feeders or leads set up and ready to recast within seconds of a fish or bringing a rig in, saving valuable minutes over the course of a match or pleasure session when speed is the key. Also incorporated into the stems is a Speed Bead, which allows hook lengths to be changed in seconds via a small quick-change swivel which pulls back into the bead to secure it to the rig. The stems fit Guru's existing method, pellet and Hybrid feeders and the inline lead range, easily slotting into the existing holes to make an instant quick change, elasticated feeder or lead set-up. Just tie a small loop onto the main line, secure it to the stem via the streamlined crook and small tail rubber, and it's ready to go. The X-Safe is the only safe elasticated system on the market, with the whole elasticated section easily pulling through the stem so any fish lost due to a main line breakage or picking up a cracked-off rig will be able to easily lose the feeder or lead. Top fisheries such as White Acres have recognised this safety aspect and now insist that anglers use the X-Safe system. The stems are available in two lengths for short and medium to long-range fishing and two elastic strengths black and white for targeting smaller or larger fish. For example, the black (heavy) elastic is great for larger carp and big bream whilst the lighter white version is perfect for F1s, bream, skimmers and smaller carp.
Black 3-Rod Buzz Bars, These buzz bars have been machined from Lightweight Aluminium to the highest standards possible by JAG Products. There are four sizes in the range, which allow you to mix and match to create the splay that you want between the rod tips. Go from no splay at all by choosing matching buzz bars for back and front, to massive splay by choosing the narrowest at the back and the widest at the front, and everything in between!
Super LWG, The original LWG established itself as an astonishingly popular pattern. We have now introduced a premium version of this – the Super LWG! Featuring a round bend and wide gape with an inturned point, the Super LWG is PTFE coated to ensure the hook remains strong, durable and discrete in appearance. A single hook has proved to last throughout intense bagging sessions. The ‘Wasabi’ point stays razor sharp to give you maximum hooking capability at all times. Available in both eyed and spade patterns, the hooks are perfect for presenting all kinds of baits, from maggots, casters and worms, to meat, corn and pellets. The eyed versions are superb for hair rigging a band when using hard pellets, or for holding a Speed Stop to present hair-rigged baits.
Beta Hoodie, Guru Beta (Navy) hoodies are the latest releases in the Guru clothing range. The material and fitting follow the original Guru hoodie design with a cross-over front collar, double hood for keeping the draft out and ribbed underarm panels to enhance upper body movement. They're cosy enough for winter wear, yet you'll also find them ideal for keeping out the chill on early summer, spring or autumn mornings.
