Our neoprene finger stalls are streamlined, snug and offer unrivalled protection when going for the big cast, especially with braid. They are available in small, large and extra large versions.
Textured Leads, Let's be clear, from the very start - our current camouflaged coating is, we believe, the best on the market by some distance. However, let it not be said that we don't listen to you guys, because our new textured coating has been developed due to massive demand for our famous leads with a textured coating. It's not been easy though, in fact, the development has taken a little while to perfect. Our lead production manager, Sean Woody' Stockdale, had this to say about the leads, This isn't a new concept, far from it in fact. However, we couldn't ignore the demand. We carefully considered the combinations of coating granules to produce the subtlest, matt-finish camouflage. It wouldn't be right to herald the release of the new range without getting a word from the gaffer. Dan told us, Ever since I started, I've paid great attention to camouflage aspect of my rig. This has permeated every aspect of Korda's product range. This addition to our lead range satisfies the almost constant demand for textured leads in colours that actually match what you're fishing over. I stress this point because 90 per cent of the existing textured leads do not match what they will be lying on, which actually makes them stand out more. The range has been kept concise to keep the majority of anglers happy and we will consider expanding it as demand dictates. Personally, I would use either the smooth or textured leads because our underwater filming proves that both have superb camouflage properties. So, what are the advantages of a textured lead? Well, the coating is matt, so it simply won't reflect light in the same way as a conventionally coated lead. The textured finish will pick up sediment from the lake bed, adding to the overall subtle effect. In fact, these leads get better and better with use! The characteristics that allow the leads to take on sediment will also allow the leads to absorb flavours, glugs or dips. Leaving a few leads to soak in Goo is sure to add an extra dimension of attraction.
Subline Tapered Main Line, Tapered SUBline has all of SUBline's fast-sinking, abrasion resistant-properties, but the line tapers into an integral shock leader at each end. No knots are necessary. If you snap off and lose one, all you have to do is wind the line onto a new spool to reveal the other! Because there are no leader knots involved, the risk of frapping up' on big casts is massively reduced and there is nothing for weed to collect on or for a lead system to jam against. This line was designed for extreme-range casting, but the extra diameter also acts as a robust snag leader. Each tapering leader is 15 metres long, but can be cut down by a maximum of five metres for super-long range, when every last yard counts. Tapered SUBline is available in the following versions: 0.28mm - 0.50mm (8lb tapering to 40lb) 0.30mm - 0.50mm (10lb tapering to 40lb) 0.33mm - 0.50mm (12lb tapering to 40lb)
IQ D-Rigs, These IQ D-Rigs are easily the most talked-about presentation from the latest Underwater films. Not only that but the rig’s inventor, Danny Fairbrass, has used it to great effect both at home and abroad in the last couple of seasons. He’s been steadily tweaking the rig to get it working perfectly, and you can benefit because it’s now available in ready-tied form. It has to be said that Dan’s version of the D-rig can be a little daunting to tie, so we’ve taken all the complexity out of your fishing with these impeccably tied ready rigs. They have been hand-tied to Dan’s exacting specifications, even down to the whipping knot. The IQ D-rig is a fabulous rig to use for wary carp, thanks to its inherent stiffness and the superb anti-eject properties that the swivel sliding on the large D arrangement gives. The IQ D-rig is perfect for use with a boilie approach and Dan nearly always uses it with one of his wafter hook baits, which just sit above the hook when on the lake bed. The rigs are available in barbed and barbless variants, and in sizes four, which is tied to 15lb IQ2, six, which is tied to 12lb IQ2 and eight, which is tied to 10lb IQ2.
Krimps, This clever system will allow us all to reach brand-new heights of neatness in rig creation. The Krimps and Krimp tool have been designed to allow easy rig construction with stiff materials (at the moment we only recommend Hybrid Stiff, Mouth Trap and Boom). In particular, we're really excited about the potential to create extremely neat loops for chod rigs and Boom sections. Not only this, but using Krimps will allow you to create chod rigs that are exactly the same length each and every time. There are two sizes of Krimp available, which have been designed to suit different materials. The smaller one will suit stiff bristle materials like Mouth Trap and stiff coated braids, like our Hybrid Stiff, and the larger one is perfect for really thick materials (like 30lb plus mono or the 35lb Boom). The product development team went to extreme lengths to make sure that the Krimps and Krimp tools were exactly right, having to overcome various problems along the way. The complexity of getting the tool and Krimps just right has meant that this has been a long development, but we're sure that it's been well worth the wait.
