You asked us for these, so we added them to the range. These swivels have one very large round eye and one normal size one and, as with all our swivels, they come from the best Japanese manufacturers and have our trademark 'anti glint' dull-grey finish. They have three major uses. Firstly, they make very smooth running rigs when used as a replacement to the swivels found on the top of our leads. They were originally designed as part of the running rig kits. But, after too many enquiries to mention, we had to add them to the range. The second obvious use is for helicopter rigs. The large eye will rotate better if a large bead is used, whereas a smaller swivel would bump around the larger beads circumference. In other words, the large eye will slide effortlessly around it. They can also be used at the top of a link for the marker float - the large eye will allow the line to pull through that bit easier than a standard swivel. No doubt you will find other uses we haven't even thought of yet.

A lead system that betters the hooking qualities of an inline, yet casts like a lead clip, with all its safety benefits? It doesn't exist, right? Well, such a product has just arrived at Korda HQ. After what seems like ages in the development, the COG system is finally here, in physical form. COG stands for Centre of Gravity, which is a reference to the unique way that the hook link is attached to the heaviest part of the lead, giving instant, unparalleled hooking. Put simply, this system has been designed to convert more pick-ups into fish on the bank. When to use it then? Well, it's best used over firm lake beds like gravel, sand and firm silt, rather than weed, when you're better to reach for the Heli-Safe system. It can be cast every bit as far as a normal lead clip system, although when going for extreme range, it's worth dispensing with any PVA bags as the impact could force the half-swivel out of the lead. For margin work and placing from boats, the COG is simply unrivalled. Initially, there are just two lead shapes available, flat pear and distance, which should cover you for most fishing situations. The flat pear version is best used for closer range, lowering or dropping from a boat, whereas the distance version is the one to reach for if you're having to go long for your fish. One point well worth noting is that the COG boom sections are numbered (on the swivel) because it's essential that they are used with the correct lead. If you use the wrong boom with the wrong lead, the setup simply won't work as intended.

Korda Flying Backleads take line concelament to a new level! These little weights can be attached and detached from the line without needing to cut your rig off. They feature a recessed plastic insert that ensures that they fly back up your main line on the cast, helping to pin it to the bottom way back from your rig. We produce three different sizes and the lightest will fly much further up the line than the heaviest ones, allowing you to control your line lay.

Since its release, the Hybrid Lead Clip has established itself as the best clip on the market. It has one very simple purpose, and that's to help you ditch the lead if the fish you hook becomes snagged. The design features an integrally moulded Ring Swivel, ensuring that the swivel simply cannot pull free from its housing. This forces lead ejection in the event of it becoming jammed meaning that carp can be landed easily in weedy, snaggy conditions. The streamlined, one-piece design means there are no fiddly locking pegs or hinges to worry about - just connect the leader to one end and the rig to the other! The uprated arm allows leads up to 5oz to be cast safely even at extreme range and the clip is available in all four of the key Safe Zone colours: weedy green, clay, gravel and silt.

We've been working on a solution to a problem that anglers been faced with for some time, how to safely and consistently discharge the lead when fishing with a helicopter setup. In order to be a true game-changing product, the Heli-Safe had to fulfill some important criteria... One such criterion was the ability to fish chod rigs at range. The heavy leads needed to fish at long range often become a problem once a fish is hooked. The combination of a very short hook link and large lead would often result in dropped fish. Likewise, venues that had been choked by weed often dictated that dropping the lead was paramount, something that just isn't consistently possible with conventional systems. The demand from anglers to produce a drop-off lead system for use in these situations pushed us to develop the product you see before you. The Heli-Safe System enables you to drop the lead when the situation calls for it. When used in conjunction with our unique Helicopter Safety System and unique No-Trace Beads, you can fish a rotary-rig setup in situations that would have previously led to the loss of hooked fish. The system works by employing a pressure-release function, not seen in the angling world until now. The latched lead clip will open once a hooked fish pulls against the angler, allowing the lead to drop free. By threading a Barrel Bead onto the leader above the Heli Safe, you will prevent the lead from discharging, should you pick up weed or other detritus on the retrieve. Once engaged in battle though, the bead will simply pull down and allow the lead to discharge. The unique design enables the angler to choose when to drop the lead, and when to retain it. In situations where it's not necessary to discharge the lead, a small plastic collar (which is supplied in the kit) can be fitted to fix the lead in place.

A pack that has all the components to help you construct safe lead clip systems. If you were attached to a really big carp, would you sacrifice the lead to guarantee you landed the carp? We would, and it's a small price to pay. The basic rule of the lead clip system is the lead must eject before the swivel pulls out. If the swivel comes out first the lead will never eject. Instead, the line will pull back and forth through the system like a running rig leaving the lead snagged and the fish too! In our opinion, the lead clip system is the best way to ensure a fish is not left with a lead because the line does not have to pull through anything for the lead to discharge. Use the system correctly and the lead will eject when you want it to. One thing that's for certain is that when the lead comes off the carp rises to the surface, allowing you to lead it over any underwater obstacles rather than having to drag it through them. This is the most versatile system when it comes to presenting a bait on any lake bed and as such should be chosen as your number one system. Simply follow the steps to make it safe and effective.

Korda Hybrid Running Rigs are a crossbreed of the best parts of modern running rigs. The large eye of the special swivel creates very little friction, greatly enhancing bite indication. The small lead link and silicone sleeve combine to form a very neat, tangle-proof system. The rig can be left on your rods, minus the lead, in between sessions too, maximising bank time. Running rigs offer better indication of what is happening at the rig end. When fish are picking up the rig and getting away with it, running rigs will show this more accurately. Using low-stretch monos, like Touchdown, will also greatly enhance the indication.

Our Run Rig Rubbers have been specially designed for use with running rigs incorporating theDark Matter Leaders, Leadcore, Kamo Rig Tube or Dark Matter Rig Tube. As you'd expect from Korda, these are like no other running rig beads available. It was while fishing at long distance on a running-rig-only water that Danny came up with this new idea. A shoulder has been angled on the rubber at 30 degrees, this means the Big Eye Swivel holding the lead sits at a much better angle than any standard running rig setup, this will not only minimise the chance of any tangles but will also help get those extra few yards when fishing at long range. The soft rubber compound is designed to hold the swivel and rig tube securely. As with the rest of the Safe Zone range, they are available in the four key colours because, by matching your components to suit the lake bed you are fishing you'll improve your results.

Like all our products, the Shockleader Sleeve puts fish safety as top priority. We designed this sleeve to replace the hard plastic lead insert and make your inline rig as anti-tangle and fish friendly as possible when using shockleaders. If the line breaks, the lead pulls free and slides down the line, easily passing over the leader knot. Once the lead is off fish find it easier to get rid of the hook.

Not only does rig tubing stop the hook link from wrapping around the main line on the cast preventing a tangle, it also stops the fish coming in contact with the line during the fight. This is a vital safety aspect of the rig which we feel should not be ignored. Our tubing has a matt finish, which makes it harder to see underwater and most importantly, easy to thread. It comes in three colours, all of which sink without the need for putty. Having said that, we have seen from the underwater footage that the better the rig is pinned to the lake bed the less scared the carp will be. It is also better to get the colour of the tube exactly right for the spot you are fishing and then weight it with extra putty. Our underwater experience tells us our colours are right and extra putty can only enhance the whole set up but is not as essential as getting the colour right.
